I like Lincoln as a candidate. However, for that money, I think anyone is on the table and he wouldn’t be my first choice.

He is a great offensive mind who can recruit elite qb’s.

To me, for 120 million, Tomlin, Rhule, Saban, Day, dabo, are all on the table.

With Lincoln, you are getting a great offensive coach who recruits great qb’s.

Here is my concerns with Riley being paid as the best coach in America.

1) he hasn’t built a program. He inherited a program.

2) he doesn’t win the recruiting battles on the defensive side of the ball.

3) he doesn’t field a team that can compete in big games against elite teams

For me, if you have an opportunity to get whomever you want, you get a guy that is balanced on both sides of the ball and can win key recruiting battles anywhere. When you line up in a big game, your team is going to meet or exceed their talent level to let the other team know, you are here all night long.

There’s too much smoke with Riley. Makes me think it’s intentional.

They’re covering for their real target, and in the process trying to get a new SEC peer to spend more money.

If the Riley chatter was really quiet and unsourced, I could buy it. But too many insiders have said it’s real, meaning Woodward wants people to think it’s real.

It could also be a situation where Woody wants the fanbase to know he swung for the fences.

I’d be thrilled with Riley, but the louder the chatter gets leads me to believe it’s a rouse.

It would have to be Dabo, then Day, then Riley.

If you think Dabo is worth 120 million and would succeed here you are a moron.

Dudes crap only works at a weird place like Clemson and when he had back to back generational QBs. Also when they have a large megachurch to funnel bags through.

To be fair, Riley would be inheriting a good program here in terms of talent and infrastructure.

With the right people, I think the new LSU would recruit itself. As for winning big games, the upgrade in talent will get him there.

But yes, LSU should call anyone on the wish list and see who wants to be here.

For 120, give SP a call. He ain’t wining no super bowl with Jamius Winston and he could have his pick at qb in college. He wouldn’t come because of recruiting but he’d destroy every college defense with his pick of recruits and play calling

LSU is getting rid of a guy that can’t coach either side of the ball and you want to turn around and hire another one in Dabo?

For that kind of money I'd take Tomlin, Josh McDaniels,Fickell, Riley. Maybe a guy like Todd Bowles or Vance Joseph would be interested in a big time SEC HC gig?

This is exactly where I’m at. The Riley stuff is keeping the eyes off of what’s really going on.
I think it’s Saban y’all. Buckle up.

Tomlin is the best candidate, and if you figure in accomplishment, age, etc.. it's not really debatable.
