Why? So he can get offered a job elsewhere 3 years down the line and not play defense there too?

My top realistic option is Kiffin. My dream hire is Urban Meyer or Chris Peterson, and my in-between is Riley.

It's been Kiffin since O was hired. O was a place holder.

And Kiffin is dirty AF. The other night they had 28!! defensive "injuries" out of 78 total snaps played vs. Tennessee

That's one injury for every 3.4 snaps played. I don't care what excuses you have, that's dirty

If LSU fans thought Miles' weirdness and O's insanity drove them crazy, just wait until Kiffin is their coach.

Kiffin would bolt for the NFL in 2 years.

Dude has never won a thing of significance as a head coach, and he says a lot of stupid stuff. No thanks.

I’ll give you the 78 cents in my pocket right now to delete your dumb post and say nothing further about the idiot Kiffin.

What did he do this past Saturday besides coach against a former team?

28 defensive "injury" timeouts to 78 total defensive snaps played.

Did you actually watch the game? Every series that UT had the ball and were making any kind of progress, an OM defensive player mysteriously fell down with "cramps" to slow them down. That's every 3.4 plays on average, an OM defender went down with an injury.

You can't tell me that he's not playing a little dirty with the rules. He did the same against Arkansas any time the offense was on a roll, a defensive player would just randomly go from standing fine to laying on the ground like they're hurt. It's like he did it less in the Arkansas game and realized it works, then went overboard in the UT game.

That little trick gives his defense basically unlimited timeouts and kills the opposing team's momemtum, but it's a loophole in the rules he's abusing the frick out of

Kiffin is an OC in a HC position, and it shows.

You Kiffin people might just be the most ignorant types ever on this board...worse than the fantasy Lincoln Riley baws.

You do realize that Kiffin alienates just about everyone he works for?

Al Davis said he was not a good person.
He sold out Tennessee and those people hate him
He has a winning record at USC and then is dumped in the middle of the night by Pat Hayden after a loss to Arizona
Pissed off Saban real good

He tends to start doing it after about 2 years on the job

Yes I watched the game, but what does that have to do with the coaching search? Not every single injury was “fake” as you’re insinuating. Did you watch the game? If he were the coach at LSU you’d be talking about it being a competitive advantage even if he were telling the defense to go down with an “injury.” It’s not playing “dirty” until a rule is changed to where the player has to sit out the rest of the series if he goes down.

Presume you mean sustainable powerhouse and not just a 1 hit wonder powerhouse, given the 2019 backdrop to O's news this week.

Where has Kiffin delivered a sustainable powerhouse?

The Offense would be fun, for sure. I agree.

The sustainable excellence part, that which I think LSU should have, I see no evidence of in Kiffin.
