Youtube is such a trash product compared to it's earlier days

10 minutes into a 20 minute video and I've already been interrupted by ads TWICE. Watching on a console app so no add blocker.

Can you pay to avoid ads? Asking someone to provide you with free service without even listening to their ads is kind of difficult. You must hate watching football games with those interruptions.

Many you tubers are imbedding the ads in their content. like "while we're here let's talk about X, X is great and right now you can get X with this special code blah blah" Can't get around that with premium.

Got Red (or whatever they call it now) for Cobra Kai, but kept it and pretty much everything I watch is through there and ad-free.

Wait, so.....you're even going to bitch about content creators getting/doing their own ads? Good lord....you actually want them to be making no money whatsoever?
I get bitching about embedded ads, but the ones they promote themselves are fine with me, and you can fast forward through them.
In reality, YouTube wouldn't be anywhere near what it is now without the ad revenue it generates. You kind of have to take the good with the bad in this case.

I wasn't a fan of watching movies that were broken down into 9 min clips. Now, there are 20+ hr videos on there. As long as I can block ads, I'll take the current version.
