I’d say win 5 of the remaining in convincing fashion.
Which means the OL would have to dramatically improve. Not gonna happen
The play calling and Run game dramatically improve…nope.
Honestly, of the remaining games, can you really see 5 wins?
You get ULM, so find 4 of the 7

9-3 with a nice NY bowl victory, but we know that is not going to happen. It is going to be a painful season of ups and downs with a 6-6 likely finish. This is what it is like to be a Tulane fan.

No chance. Woody wields a lot of sway in the state and JBE is done after this term, no reason to play politics with a lame duck governor.

Look, I was an O supporter when he arrived and I saw a hunger and passion for success.
Flash forward to today- his fate is sealed, nothing he can do outside of going undefeated the rest of the season, which is a joke. I just hope that Woodward is already doing his homework to evaluate for potential candidates.
My pipe dream is that Saban decides he wants to finish what he started at LSU and coach us a few years until he retires!

The general thought is that 8 wins gets O another season
He’s got a tough row to hoe for that to happen
Speaking of how’s…. Who is O dating this week?

At minimum, it would have to be a scenario somewhat similar to 2017. LSU had the embarrassing loss to Troy...after getting pounding in the worst loss ever to Mississippi St. They then went 7-1 the rest of the way, beating Florida, SEC-West Champ, Auburn, and dominated Tenn, Ark, A&M to finish the season. The one loss, Alabama, was a game where LSU at least showed a pulse.
Outside of Alabama, NONE of the SEC teams remaining on the schedule are significantly better than LSU, if at all. That doesn't mean LSU is good enough to just show up and win, but getting wins in those games isn't an insurmountable task. While it doesn't seem likely, if LSU can rally to finish 9-3, 8-4, with CLEAR signs of improvement, then it will come down to who else is available? If it is a big time HC with a significant track record of success then even 8-4, or 9-3 may not be good enough because it may be more prudent to pounce on a great opportunity. But if there are really no big names who you are certain will take the job, do you move on from a guy who has proven he can win in SEC? Particularly if the finish to the season makes you think he has the train back on the track?
If we are sitting here the weekend after Thanksgiving with LSU being 6-2 in the SEC with losses only to Auburn and Alabama, that COULD be enough to get O one more season.

Isn't O a 3rd tier coach?

At this point, probably winning out or losing only 1 more.

Lose to Bama and win every other game. Maybe he can drop Ole Miss if he wins the bowl
9-4 he stays
It ain't gonna happen though.

How else could he win 5 out of: Alabama, Kentucky, Arkansas, A&M, Florida, and Ole Miss?

There is no possibility of this happening. None.
That said, clarify your answer-
you're saying 11-2 with a win at Bama and a bowl win, and you think they will still fire him?
If he does that, I don't think he gets canned, I think he gets a bonus.
My own thoughts are, he entered the season needing to hit double figures in wins. 10-2 regular season, or if you go 9-3 you damn well better win the bowl, and look good in the losses. beating Alabama and going 9-3 could be enough.
At this point of the season, our losses haven't looked good, so that option is out. He's at the 2-loss spot already, so he has to win out, including beating Bama. He might be able to lose one more, but he MUST beat Alabama. Technically (simply because we haven't played yet), that's still possible.
Anything less, and he's out. I think he might be fired after the next loss, if it's ugly.

Run the table, beat Georgia in Atlanta. That is his only frikin route!!!

Another 2 loss national championship?? LOL!

I'm honestly worried that they will some how get to 8-4 and they can't fire him then.
If the 4th loss is against UF, then he's gone either that weekend or maybe after OM game. They have an off week before Bama to transition.
But if he gets to Bama game with 3 losses, then I'm getting worried that he might get to 8-4 and be around next season.

He needs to win the next three to get off the hot seat, then he can lose against Alabama but he had better not lose to both A&M and Arkansas or his arse is right back on the hot seat.
So, he needs to go 8-4.
There's very little chance.
