No does he have a bit about this? I'd love to hear it.

The younger generations have become waaaaaaaay too selfish to have kids, honestly. They don't want to have to give up anything in order to raise a child. There's nothing wrong with that but that kind of goes against the laws of nature. It's fascinating really. It's a human evolution no one ever saw coming.

You're neglecting the fact that it's expensive to get everything in order before bringing a child into the world. House, job/career, relationship, etc. All takes longer and it's reflected in the average age of marriage and child bearing. Millenials have a lot working against them, maybe even by design.

It's not nice to mock people who belive in a 100 year old theory that has never held up over time

It absolutely baffles me.

You just never know why some couples never have kids. And frankly it's none of our business. As good friends, you will come to know why.

We have some friends that decided not to as the wife's family is rampant w bipolar disorder. They periodically have to step into siblings lives to help them through rough times. I can't disagree w their decision.

Seems like most people on this board have kids.

Which is a scary thought.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

It's not my place to ask. There could be lots of underlying circumstances that are involved, and are not my business.

After having kid(s) in early and mid 30s, honestly my biggest regret is not having them earlier.

It truly changes your life for the better in every way, but I would love to have them be 10 years older and closer to leaving for college right now

it changes your life for the better in every way, yet you wish they were old enough to not live in your house anymore? Interesting.

we have too many people already. not procreating is more useful at this point.

Considering the fact you’re being out-bred by the people you probably think are to blame for problems, I think that’s BS.

I’d counter that too many stupid people procreating is a much larger problem

So the smart, responsible people not procreating is the solution?

I respect their position. I'm jealous of the free time and money. I'm sad they don't experience the love of a parent for a child.

Exactly.

I thought we were empty nesters but we have a 24 year old with a brain tumor and recurring seizures that could possibly become our child for life, moving back home in a few days

They tend to be the most intelligent people on the planet.
