I don't really think about them.

I try to think about myself.

And for me, in my 30+ years on this planet, love and close relationships have provided me with far more consistent happiness and sense of purpose than anything else. And it isn't close.

Bring on the kids.

1.) Had extremely shitty childhoods and have issues with their parents,
2.) Completely selfish,
3.) Impotent/can't find someone to procreate with as they are social pariahs.

4. Have medical issues

5. Never found the right person (or found the right person too late).

The ones I don't like are the hipsters who don't want children because it would interfere with their fancy vacations and pointless material possessions, and then go post on r/childfree about how superior they are.

She’s a kindergarten teacher and honestly a child is the last thing she wants to come home to and deal with.

It takes special people to be able to have a class filled with what? 5 & 6 year olds? and keep order every day in the school year.

I have more friends/family who brag and gloat about not having kids than friends/family who have kids who look down on people who choose not to have kids, if that makes sense.

If you don't want kids, that's fine.. don't try to make me feel bad for having the life I want though.

I tell everyone that asks though, there aren't many better feelings than coming home after a long day at work to my two kids running at the door to give me a hug.

Hate to break it to you but the old folks homes are filled with seniors with children who rarely, if ever, visit them or call them. Just having kids is no guarantee of later life care. It used to be an insurance policy in later life, but now with government programs and retirements people don't depend on their children as much as they once did.

this, and it's sad as hell

ETA: my mom passed a couple of months ago and spent her last two years in assisted living, I was over there(about 4 hours away,) almost every single day off for the last coupe of years and was with her for her last few days and for her last breath but I met so many people in that facility whose kids never came to visit, very sad

If they are overweight or not productive, I wonder how? My parents took my kids for 5 days earlier this summer. Felt like there was 36 hours in the day.

Some people can’t have kids, and then there is the trailer park trash that pops one out every 9/10 months.

It took a lot of years working with doctors to have my son.

Some people like I say just can’t and then some people don’t need kids.

Seems more selfish to bring kids into the world we live in these days.

Its a sacrifice to pull out so that some kid doesn't have to experience what it's gonna be like to live in this country in the next 50 years. Pretty selfless act to not have children if u think about it that way.

I see a few folks regularly that i have known for years and they just got to 35 and weren’t married and it still hasn’t happened for them so they just decided they weren’t gonna have kids this late in life and don’t really worry about it anymore
