Seems like most people on this board have kids.

Curious to get people's thoughts when they come across people in their late 30s or early 40s without kids.
Male, 40's, married 14 years, divorced once and haven't remarried. There's a medical backstory w/ my ex I'll spare you on the lack of kids, but not having any children yet is my life's biggest regret.

There's still time. I'm in good shape, have good means, all that jazz. My attitude is that having children flows from having a relationship and someone that you love and respect and wanting to form a family. You can't go out and think about children as the sole goal. I suppose you can, and plenty of people do but I won't do that.

Now, I'll go back to snark and sarcasm.

Always laugh when they claim to “not have enough time.”

I am legitimately confused on why anyone would actually care if another couple had kids or not. Whatever their reason would be.

Depends on why they don't. People in that category don't have anything in common other than no kids.

At times, I understand it. Other times, I’m envious. Mostly though, I feel sorry for them.

It must really suck having disposable income and the freedom to do whatever they want, whenever they want.

That being said, I wouldn't trade being a father for anything.

If you just don’t want kids then you’re probably just a selfish person who will eventually have a sad end of life. You can argue otherwise but it’s true and you know it.

Jealous when my four and six year old boys are throwing down over a toy. But when they sleep over at their grandparents house and it is dead silence in my house, I miss those little assholes instantly.

I see the flip side of this coin too. My little brother is in his early to mid 30's, no steady girlfriend, no kids with his own business just raking in the cash. I live vicariously through him.

The younger generations have become waaaaaaaay too selfish to have kids, honestly. They don't want to have to give up anything in order to raise a child. There's nothing wrong with that but that kind of goes against the laws of nature. It's fascinating really. It's a human evolution no one ever saw coming.

No kids means no grand kids. Any grandparent you talk to will tell you grandkids are the greatest.

After having kid(s) in early and mid 30s, honestly my biggest regret is not having them earlier.

It truly changes your life for the better in every way, but I would love to have them be 10 years older and closer to leaving for college right now
