Crown Royal - where does it rank in bourbon universe?

I am a Makers Mark fan. Many higher end bourbons have been lost on me. Pappys included.

It isn’t a bourbon. It’s an ok mixer with sprite. Last time I had some, I peed all over a rival fraternity’s front door, and I haven’t had any since.

Crown and Spite with a lime is good.
But there are many others that I would grab to mix with before I grabbed Crown.

FYI - Boubon is Kentucky made whiskey made with at least 51% corn. Crown Royal is a blended Canadian whiskey made with rye, barley , and corn.

I make a mean bread pudding. In the sauce I use Crown Vanilla. I take a shot of it occasionally. It isn't my favorite whiskey by any stretch, though.
