Highly doubtful.

There were studies done and overall La became richer and much happier.

LA Economic Development

I have sent out emails questioning why aren't we pulling companies from CA and NY like other states. I have yet to get a response. Even sent one asking ole' Honor Chode.....Guess what, no response. Clearly, economic development is not a priority of this administration, nor do they care to comment on it to the public when asked.

It never has and never will be a priority for Louisiana.

The ones that defend it vehemently on this site for some reason don’t care about any of this.

As long as Tiger Stadium is there and good fishing and hunting. They don’t care about anything else.

The legacy of Huey Long still influences La. Its a populist State. Populism is low IQ pandering bullshite to please the least common denominator.

You know, sometimes people have differences in what makes them happy and that's ok. Many people don't feel the need to have fantastic jobs and live in a big ole city. Sometimes having enough to pay the bills, put some dollars back, and being able to enjoy the peace and quite hunting and fishing is all many need. That appears to be the case for many in La and there's nothing wrong with that.

If I can swing it. Have some issues on the (LA) home front to attend to, so not sure about schedule at this time. Hope so, though!

I moved here last October and leased a house. I was originally moving in March, but Covid slowed down the move. In that time frame, the rentals in the area I was looking at went up $500-700 a month for similar houses.

I was looking last night at real estate to buy a house in the next year and its almost disheartening. Anything I would want to actually purchase is 900k plus. Even outlier areas with newer homes such as Mt Juliet, the prices are absolutely skyrocketing.

I think it’s a southerners are triggered thing, not much to do with La. Nobody wants white liberals moving in on them buying up all the avocados

Memphis has entered the chat

You mean the Memphis with more Fortune 500 companies than the entire state of Louisiana and Mississippi combined? That Memphis?

The Jindal + Kip alliance really helped Baton Rouge with economic development.

There's just no drive or concern over economic development with the JBE administration.
