They aren't fleeing politics. They destroyed their own cities and find the quality of life to be droppings. They are incapable of understanding the connection to politics.
Normally I’d agree, but as a real estate agent selling in the very area CAD is talking about, I have yet to hear one Californian not use the term “fleeing” from California. Every single one I’ve dealt with has been right leaning. 2022 will be a good test to see if that comes home to roost.
CAD, Look at the guy who bought Alan Jackson house on Moran. He’s from Cali and couldn’t be more far right if he tried.

I'm also in Sumner County. New neighbors moved in next door last fall from San Diego. They fled CA due to politics and policies and are happy to be here. They proudly fly their American flag too! Heading into Nashville (while only 30 min away) is starting to feel like a whole different place -- people wearing masks outside around no one.
My cousin and his wife called me the other day. They have been in Silicon Valley forever and work in tech. They confided that they are closet republicans and talking to them it is clear they are red-pilled. They are getting to the breaking point and are looking to buy property in TN. No one else in our extended family knows their politics -- my uncle will not be pleased. Before their call, I was the only conservative that I knew of on that side of the family.

Interestingly my trip to LA yielded some great insight to that blight. Its pure trash. 100%, even downtown.
The population of LA is the problem. Its full of horrible people.
Condos going up everywhere, right next to an overpass full of tents and the ground looks like it a trash bomb went off over the city.
Hopefully this urban fantasy of hipster heaven dies soon. Its just a party for limousine progressives.
