Progressives aren't the ones doing this; it's the redneck tourists who get excited about seeing a deer.

Are you in Asheville or did you just make this up?

ID, MT, AZ, GA and TX are on the chopping block

Georgia and Arizona are.

Texas is getting there. State itself is changing but luckily the legislature is still the most conservative in the US.

Montana was close in 08 because of Obama but it's been very red since. Unless Missoula totally explodes, it'll stay red.

Idaho? Lulz. It's part of the big five of current red states in terms of R-D gap (West Virginia, Wyoming, Idaho, Oklahoma, North Dakota). You could maybe throw Utah in there, too.

If people are leaving California due to it being too liberal they are likely republicans.

But they’re not leaving because it’s too liberal. They’re leaving because it’s unaffordable. Then they move to Red States and immediately start pushing the locals around. I’ve seen it time after time.

I used to live in Asheville and worked at Mount Mitchell.

This. They lack the intelligence to understand that moving and voting for the same types of people will eventually lead to the same mess.

Yeah this is being overblown. TN was one of the first states called for Trump even though most of the state is in the Central time zone. If you live in Nashville, then yes of course it is looking a lot more liberal these days but there is more to the state than just that one overhyped city.
