Apologies if this is already known and I just missed it, but per Hanny Emery is out because he was assigned to the wrong class.
Kid takes a summer course, passes said summer course, then NCAA rules him ineligible because he was placed in the wrong class.
Someone who’s job is to make sure this doesn’t happen, really fricked up. I would be livid if I was Emery or his parents.

I'm almost wondering if he failed or was failing the class he was supposed to pass and someone tried to get him to take some other similar/easier or abbreviated class and see if the NCAA would accept it? I wonder that only because it's hard to believe that they could be so incompetent as to not confirm whether a class he was taking to academically qualify would be accepted or not. If the issue is just that they didn't check to ensure that the class would be accepted, then that is moronic.

When I was in college you had a specific class plan you followed by semester and by year. Only options you had was when you had an elective to choose but they were still listed which ones you could take towards your degree

This doesn't pass the smell test. Getting caught cheating on a summer school test seems more plausible, but who knows in today's LSU woke clown world academics.
