I call mine Ole Red. Never has failed me. I bought a larger new one that is my first go to, but Ole Red gets the same maintenance so I can sleep well knowing she's ready when needed.

I have a generac 7000e. Dead nuts reliable and powerful but it makes some filthy power. Once hurricane season is over im going to see if I can rig up a digital AVR on it.

We have the same model possibly. Mine is the 10k start 8k running. I’ve had it at least 6 years. I’ve got 225 hours on it. I have changed the oil around 4 times so far not including the break in change. The one thing I want to do before the next storm is order a 6pk of oil filters and a set of brushes for the generator head. Just in case.

Generac 22kw. People shitting on them but if you maintain them, they run. I had gas pressure issues to start but once we resolved that, gangbusters. I’m like trace Adkins, every light in the house is on.

My neighbor has the same one, ran every minute since 3pm on ida’day except for oil changes.

Starting to seriously stress about my baw TDSNGUMBO.

I prefer him posting about Instagram models rather than marital, generator, and mold issues.

Briggs and Stratton Storm Responder. 5500/8250. Bought it after Gustav and only had to run it once for about 6 hours one May because power was out and I wanted to watch an LSU baseball game. Never changed the oil until running it about 18 hours after Ida. Ot performed flawlessly for over a week.

Same here dude. Same unit and same treatment. They’re good machines.

Predator 9000 startup/7250 running from Harbor Freight. Bought in June. Electric start, ran great for 3 days solid till power came back. Ran 2 fridges, 1 freezer, 1 TV, a few lights and shitload of fans. Not even close to maxing it out. Was getting 15-16 hours on a 6-gallon tank.

Loud but not that bad. Have had worse. Plus everyone in neighborhood had one running as well.

Used 10-30 full synthetic oil. Getting ready to change oil before next storm and get a new spark plug.

Love that electric start.

Bought generac 13,500 crank 8000 continuous with 15hp Briggs & Stratton 13 years ago from Home Depot. Not one problem so far. Well, replaced battery for electric start but that’s it.

We just got power back on at 6pm today so it’s been running for the last 12 days.

Predator 4375/3500

Fridge/Freezer, 6k btu window unit, various lights and tv.

Running about 22hrs a day, burning less than 6 gallons of gas per day. Changing oil every 90 hours.

8 days and counting.

I’m looking at a Wen 9500, but trying to get confirmation that I can convert to natural gas before I pull the trigger
