What laws were broken by the man who confronted MSNBC reporter on Mississippi beach

Can someone please identify what laws were broken by the Ohio man who confronted the MSNBC reporter on the Mississippi beach? No doubt he was impolite and rude. He ranted at the reporter and told him to report the truth. But, how does that equate to an assault? Far worse often occurs when individuals with leftist agendas get in the face of those with whom they oppose. Remember Rand Paul and his wife being accosted?
Far worse occurs when the BLM mobs attack diners? Anyone ever arrested at those encounters?

These activists in our media are convinced that freedom of the press means free from any scrutiny.

didn't see that, but he did wag his finger as he ranted.
But, isn't that what Maxine Waters encouraged when she siad to get in their faces?

Well you didn't pay close attention to the video as it cut away from the live feed & went back to the studio feed.
