What about Muir Glen or Primal Kitchen?

I get the Hunts classic spaghetti sauce and some Hunts tomato sauce and add sauteed onions, celery, mushrooms, and garlic in olive oil. Throw in some Tony's, parsley, thyme, tarragon, italian seasonings. Then some butter, worchestshire, beef base, cab. sauv., sugar and cook all day.
Excellent troll!

Bought two jars of it in two different flavors: garlic and basil. Probably get into it next week. Anyone got a recommendation on pasta noodles to go with it? Not sure if there is one brand that's better than another TBH.

Barilla is what 99% of Italians buy, so if you're going for a brand easily found in all stores, I'd do that.

OK, this recommendation got downvotes, but no alternatives offered?

I didn't get downvoted because of the suggestion. People follow me around and downvote me. Like I care or it does anything

Wait, I rate? Go me!!
Cajun Power isn’t awful. Their other stuff is good. I just find their spaghetti sauce to be more about spice than sauce.

Has anybody said Rao's yet?

No al fredo recommendations?
To me the al fredo are all pretty close. I add a lot of garlic, butter, and olive oil. Throw in some shrimp and mushrooms. Serve over fettuccine.

I’ve never understood jarred Alfredo sauce….one of the quickest things to do in the kitchen. Pasta takes longer than a good Alfredo. It’s two or three ingredients.

I didn’t downvote you. But I buy De Cecco.
Or maybe I did downvote her for her ridiculous claim that 99% of Italians buy Barilla. I can’t remember.

Googled it last week is the only reason I even had a number
Its 98%, not 99%. Excuse my “ridiculous claim”. Just sharing what I’ve read.

It’s popular and not garbage was my only point. Christ, some of you are so exhausting.

Same here. I'll have to sneak it into the house though, because my poor wife is stuck on certain brands. She thinks Kraft basic BBQ sauce is the best. I bought something besides Prego for spaghetti once and she claimed it was horrible
Are you married to my wife?

Post the link. Because that sounds a lot like “Four out of five dentists who recommend you chew gum recommend you chew Trident.”

That’s materially different than saying 99% of Italians buy Barilla, though. That stat is saying that Barilla is available in 98% of Italian grocery stores. Heinz and Coke are probably in 98% of American grocery stores, but that doesn’t mean that 98% of Americans buy those brands.
