Northwood Bait and Tackle. You grew up in my neck of the woods. Nothing like the stink of cheese bait and maggots. I still remember best friends mom bitching at us when we used maggots to catch some bream to bait up limb lines and trot lines in Marshal brake....
The city itself is kind of trashy, and this is on outskirts. re: 20 year Tax Incentives that landed Buc-ee's in Ruston. - tiger2180
Potentially yes but not sure Terrell is best comparison. It had another travel/trucker place, gas & stop places, and outlet stores long before and was already a place to stop before getting to DFW or after getting out (with I20 and 80 split). Some of that revenue just shifted west within city...
except the representation is what decided this I’m so confused by this argument. In 1776 (or 5 or whenever the hell the revolutionary started) the issue was citizens of the colonies couldn’t vote someone into British parliament to try and fight back against the taxes the king levied. In...

re: 20 year Tax Incentives that landed Buc-ee's in Ruston. - tiger2180
Certainly not taking a shot. As previously stated, Buc-ees will not help the aquifer situation, especially with tax dollars being rebated. One could also question the discounted electric rates when the City of Ruston power grid is in poor shape. Ruston has agreed to pay for the needed infrastructure...
Is there a body of water in Ruston to dump the Beaver Nuggets in?
No, Ruston gets it’s water from the Sparta aquifer which for years the locals have been told is running dry. They have actually had multiple campaigns encouraging people to conserve water....

re: 20 year Tax Incentives that landed Buc-ee's in Ruston. - tiger2180
That's not how this works. I've already explained it to you once, but it's also written out extremely simple in the agreement as well if you want to read it there. Buccees has to collect the tax, file a sales tax return, and remit that money to the City. The City will then refund the money, i...

re: 20 year Tax Incentives that landed Buc-ee's in Ruston. - tiger2180
Ruston is also setting up an 80,000-acre economic development district allowing Buc-ee’s to recoup an additional 2% in sales tax over 20 years. The city of Ruston total area isn’t 80,000 acres. I guess the entire city gets to help pay for Buc-ee’s to come to town? Ruston already has one of the ...
