Katrina was water and Ida is going to be both water and wind. It’s more compact like Andrew which was like a buzzsaw through south Florida.

Anyone have a report on storm surge in Venice? Wind wasn't too terrible down there. Nothing like Grand Isle and up and down the Bayou. Surge was always the biggest worry.

Wouldn't surprise me some people had flights for Friday canceled the way some of these airline are running. Then the storm came so they got stuck.
