Pine trees will snap and cut through house framing.
Oaks and pecans tend to uproot. A tall pecan can cut through roof structure as well.
True, but personally I'm not even risking it. We are hunkering down with the in-laws who dont have any big trees that endanger our lives.
My house has a big arse pecan tree, cedar tree, pine trees all around our bedrooms.
