That’s ugly. So is Ida. Good luck, folks! Up here in Brookhaven, I’ll be praying for everyone south of me. We’ve all been here before.

Sad... It's where my Dad's family is from. My ancestral Cajun roots are directly tied to Grand Caillou. Frick this sucks

Yea this is very sound advice.

That will be a freaking traumatizing journey that could take 15-20 hrs. If you go for it, be prepared for the drive itself like its own separate event (food, spare gas, etc). Years ago in ike I evacuated houston and 14 hrs later i was in beaumont, and turned around and went back

Yeah. It's showing that it might be a tropical storm by the time it gets level with Baton Rouge.

Do you know the future or something? This post seems a little over the top.

I was fine and doing a mini celebration dance with my 11 year who’s been worried sick all night. Then this dipshit started posting.
He's really not wrong.
Remember how the NHC path was about perfect when Laura got in the gulf?
Well...
Remember how by a couple of days before Laura we were discussing how Lake Charles seemed to be in trouble and how this time it's SELa we're talking about.
Keep watching, but it would be shocking at this point for it to get to bringing severe impacts to Lake Charles.

Anyone know if Lootie still resides in New Orleans? That dude needs to evacuate asap.

All my wife's family is staying in Houma... Praying this turns out to be not as bad than it's looking now.
