He's not wrong, that upper level high isn't as much of a factor as they thought it would be, expect this to go a bit east.

#Ida continues to move to the NW. With the current forecast preparations must be rushed to completion. #Ida is still forecasted to make landfall as a Cat 4 Hurricane. If you are able or under evacuation orders leave! #mswx #lawx

Even with small jogs in either direction it seems pretty locked in that BR isn’t going to have a good time

Jay Grimes said “sustained hurricane force winds in BR”, not gusts. Lots of conflicting info…take away is “we all gonna get it”.

My house is new construction in mandeville. The lot next to me isn’t cleared yet and it’s all pine trees. That has me worried if winds get bad enough here

Rule of thumb. The tall skinny pines break off at the tip. The shorter fat bull pines don’t fall. It’s the medium tall thick pines that crush.

Well I guess at least it’s currently projected to be a Cat 3 at landfall now

What does everyone think about the MS Coast right now? Obviously those in low lying areas need to GTFO, especially if they're in Hancock Co. or the Pass.

It's technically inland at that forecast point, so the landfall forecast is still 140.

Remember, everyone, if it doesn't come from rds or Duke, take it with a very large grain of salt.

A few jogs east or west will make a huge difference for BR

Incorrect. It’s still projected to be a category 4 at landfall. Still with 140mph winds.

I'm not a fan of the switching back and forth between Cyclone and Hurricane.

The 15 mile East shift just took me from being on the East side of it to now having the track come over my house.

Does this change much for me or was I fricked either way?

fricked either way

The consensus thus far.

How valuable would it be for me if it shifts East again and I end up 30 miles or so West from center of circulation?
