What women's Olympic sport could you beat the gold medalist in?

Without any training beyond what you have right now? Just getting out of the recliner and competing.

If you select weightlifting, would be the top weight class. Same for boxing.

Edited to try and clarify that I wasn't saying that I would win in anything... just pointing out that if someone said those sports, you'd get the toughest of them.

Here’s your weekly “I’m not quite a man” thread.

Nobody is beating Olympic athletes off the sofa, king.

Idk about me personally, but I heard a bunch of our 15 year old sons could beat the USWNT.

Would get most of us killed; it’s a whole different skill set from regular powerlifting.

I looked through all the individual women's sports and there isn't one I could even be competitive in. Even the women weightlifters are a decent bit stronger than me.

However, I'm confident that if you put me on the handball, rugby, or basketball teams I would wreak havoc. So I guess what I'm saying if you put me on the silver medal team I could take us to gold because the upgrade in size and power from their worst starter to me would make a significant difference.

I'd even come off the bench and be the enforcer.

When I was young and playing well, golf and maybe tennis I’d have a chance.

Tennis would have been harder. Navratilova was pretty darn good, if she goes down with a cramp I’d have a chance against the 2nd best.

Not me, but my college roommate at an SEC school was captain of his team and never was ranked above 350th in the world as a pro and could beat any woman on the planet in straight sets 6/0 6/0 6/0. So, it’s tennis. The worst thing in the universe was that fiasco with a 50 something Bobbie Riggs playing Billie Jean King (who may have had more testosterone) and was 20 years younger, in the f’ing Astrodome on international TV. She should have had to play Bjorn Borg or even Rod Laver. I digress.

One of the shooting competitions that just requires practice and hand-eye coordination. If it requires being faster, quicker, or stronger, I'm boned in the same weight class. They're Olympians and are peak physical specimens. I'm not. shite, even if I outweigh them by 50 pounds, I'm fricked. They practice every day. I like tacos.

Seriously. Tacos are delicious.

Do I get 4 years to prepare?

Boxing, and I'd drop down a lot of weight.
