What's everyone's consensus on the grasshopper plan?
I'm an endurance athlete looking to get back in the gym.
very basic but very well designed beginners plan for sure.

How long does each session take? What should it do in terms of strength and physique?
Posted on 6/2/22 at 10:54 am to Tornado Alley
about an hour to hour 15. i mean its a basic strength plan but the guys who have run it on here have raved about the changes in physique they saw in the 8 weeks.
i plan on running it starting mid july if that says anything.

Fugg it. I'm in starting next week. I also plan to ride or run each day (15 - 20 miles ride or 3 - 5 miles run on Monday through Saturday) with longer distances on Saturdays. Sundays are for rest. I am going to start with a reasonable training max and go from there.

I'm into the grasshopper 6 weeks and its right at an hour to get the workout done. I'm likely going to run it again and bump my max up next pass. Also going to add running on next pass.

I liked the second half of grasshopper more than the first, but if you have never done a program like this before, might be good to start with 3 day a week first half. I might re-run weeks 5-8.
Can anyone shed some light on Hoodie Part 2's breakdown of compounds? Part 1 got me lookin swole but yearning for more deads and squats (like 2nd half of Grass)

How advanced are you? Grasshopper is good for beginners or getting back into heavy lifting but there are better follow up programs depending on your goal. Pool season 1/2 and Stacked Jacked and Turning Heads are great to follow up with.

Pool Season 2 is my least favorite so far (how much ya bench, pool season 1)
IMO it focuses a lot on the big lifts and not enough on supplementals, besides fricking shrugs.

Haven’t worked out in 6 years. Was in a D1 baseball program so we had a strength coach tell us what to do. Thinking about starting grasshopper. Any tips?

Would prolly be better running greyskull lp, but either will work. Only tips are start light, you aren't who you used to be, get good st the basics and get plenty of sleep

Last workout of Pool Season I is today. Just bought II. Wish I would have read this first. Oh well, I'm all in!

I’m on the last week of Pool Season 2. I didn’t like it at first but it has really grown on me. Whereas the first one I thought was a little more pump focused, especially on the arms, this one is about building up the back/traps/shoulders for the bigger frame look. I really enjoy squatting and deadlifting though so I don’t mind the added volume of that in 2

I'm reviewing the season II routine now. There's definitely a lot of shrugs in there. Hell it's month of work. I'm ridin. When it's over I'll reevaluate.

Pool Season 2 is my favorite so far. I thought 1 lacked a bit in lower body variety. I still love 1, but 2 was perfectly tweaked IMO.

Finished Pool Season 2 today. Really liked both programs so I’m going to cycle back through 1&2 again. Somehow landed where I can run 4 of his programs and then finish the fourth right as Squatober starts. Thinking Stacked Jacked and Turning Heads may fill the 8 week gap but I’ve got time to figure that out. Really enjoying this programming

I plan on starting the grasshopper plan. Is there anywhere to download it for free before purchasing it off the website?

Not that I know of. Aaron has asked personally on this site that we don't share his work and has been very gracious about things and gives tons of info out for free.

You bet. I don't mind supporting someone like that

Pool Season 2 week 2 starting today. Enjoyed week 1. Subbed out some of the shrugs though.
