i would say hour and 15 is about right for commercial gym.
You specified commercial gym. How does that differ from working out in a home gym from this perspective?

If time is an issue and worrying about hogging all of the equipment at a commercial gym is not (home gym, boutique gym, etc.), I’d look at finding places to superset lifts that don’t tax the same muscles. I haven’t looked at grasshopper but for Pool Season, on Day 1s where there is squatting and benching, I’ll do supersets with the two to save time. Today I did Deadlifts and was able to get some of the rows and other things done in between deadlift sets.
You may need to sacrifice weight on one or both lifts but if the time saving element is important, that’s what I do. I’ve been doing it for a long time so I don’t make adjustments to my percentages but if you’re new you may need to
ETA: I generally get the Pool Season workouts done in 45-65 minutes including warm up

Prolly could cut 10 min off if home gym just from waiting for equipment etc. Maybe more.

google "scribd greyskull conditioning" and you should have a couple options. 50 greyskull approved conditioning, 50 greyskull killer conditioning, 50 more greyskull approved conditioning workouts
Hey, thanks for this. I found these pdf’s for free. These are freaking perfect. I’ve always been looking for a guide like these for conditioning ideas. Awesome.

QQ: I see a lot of Aaron says to use a 90% training max. Or Aaron says to not run too many 5 day programs back to back, etc
Where does Aaron say these things? I googled the hell out of Aaron and cannot find any of this kind of info.
Just curious where he talks about how to use his templates. Not questioning you guys, I just want to see what else he suggests. I follow him on insta and fb, but he never really gives general advice on how to run his templates.
Thanks

I might have asked this before but is the “cardio” supposed to be optional?
Posted on 6/16/22 at 8:22 pm to lsu777
Thanks all. I’m new to PPSA. I’m also an over-thinker. But, I really love this style of training.

In filling out the hoodie 1, often the cardio is the only exercise for that muscle group for the day/week, like shrugs or band pull aparts, so I would not consider it optional. I do it as a superset with one of the other exercises to save time though

Looking ahead… is there any accessory work recommended to get ready for Squatober? Or is just running PPSA programs leading up to it enough?
Posted on 6/22/22 at 9:02 am to Lazy But Talented
he has mentioned the prequel, db strength and lets pregame as prep for squatober. but overall i think you would be fine running any ppsa program.
some of the other guys may have more insight that have run squatober.

The Prequal is specifically a prep for squatober. But I think any program that has moderate squat volume (at least 2x a week) would be good.
I’ve done Squatober two years in a row now. Squatting 5x a week sounds rough before you start but he does a good job regulating the volume and heavy days. I thought 2020 was way more challenging than 2021. All of this to say, it’s very doable and enjoyable.

Ftr let's pregame is the newest squatober prep, not to confuse you lol. But that's the one he put out last year as the newest version of prep.
Just message him on Instagram and ask lol
