SEC Network's 16 team pod proposal lumps LSU with the Misses and A&M.

I like the pod idea, but not in this configuration. It looks like they are trying to keep things equitable based on how these programs stack up currently, but big-picture wise, they should swap Texas A&M and Arkansas. Texas A&M and Texas should be forced to play every year if Texas joins the league, period.

In a pod system you’re playing everyone home and home every 4 years at most so it’s not that big a deal I don’t think

LSU has the best deal in this scenario.

How would the SEC championship game players? Top 2 conference records despite pods?

Bama gets the easiest pod, of course.

The question is, Do we have the courage to put our faith in Pod?

Why did someone decide on the term "pod"? I guess four four-team "divisions" sounds too much like NFL.

I like LSU and A&M in the same pod.

This is all about throwing A&M a bone since they're the one having a nervous breakdown over Texas coming in.

100% chance in season 1 we see a schedule of:
Miss St
OM
A&M
OU
Texas
Bama
Auburn
UF
UGA

Adding Arky to our pod would make our pod too easy for us. I’m guessing that’s why A&M got added.

Makes more sense for TAMU and Arkansas to switch. That also isn't trying to make it easier for LSU because you're 100% going to play AT LEAST 2 of Oklahoma, Florida, Bama, UGA, and Texas every year.

And the only reason they didn't pair Bama/Auburn with UF/UGA is because of Bama/Tenn "tradition", and not making one pod super easy and one super hard.

I would have the east and west like today

East teams; ole miss, miss st, lsu, arky, missourI, okla, texas and aggies

West; bama, auburn, tenner, georgia, south carolina, vandy , kentucky and florida

At first glance, I like the concept. You play your “Div” every year & play every other team once every two years, hosting every four. Makes a lot of sense, not to mention the TV money would be off the charts.

Opens the door for adding four at a time after that :-) Miami, FlSt, Clemson & ? Will depend if the powers that be want to go for market share with additional geography.

The game is changing.

I believe the SEC office knows EVERYTHING that is said on SEC Network. if this "proposal" was discussed, you can bet it's under consideration at the office.

Personally I'd swap Arky for A&M. But I could live with this.

I don’t care for it. I like having to play again Bama, Auburn and A&M every year. Who doesn’t get pumped for those games. I think LSUs pod with this set up is boring as hell.
