My son wants to get rid of some used Nintendo Switch equipment and games, so we posted it on eBay as an auction. All of this can be purchased used from Gamestop, so I have a good idea of what the going rate would be.

Instead, we've gotten several offers that are a few hundred over what the going rate should be for this stuff. What's the gimmick? I've never sold anything on eBay, so I'm clueless. TIA!

My only experience was trying to sell a nice guitar and all I got was scam offers, my sister used to do it as a sort of hobby and she loved it, that’s all I’ve got

Prepare to be hit with Fees. Ebay will get a percentage . its like 10% of whatever you sell it for. you then have shipping fees. Add paypal fees if you getting paid thru them.

I quit selling on EBay in 2007 when they started siding with the buyers. One guy received the item and then protested and received a refund/kept the item.

Ebay wouldn’t do crap and gave them their money back/debited my account.

This was with a tracking number provided.

Any chance he’s using the switch as a delivery vehicle for secret nudes he took of you?

Depends on what exactly it is. Might be some stuff that's out of print or no longer available. Some of that stuff immediately jumps in price when it's no longer easy to get.

What kind of feedback does the buyer have?

He may want to Buy it Now and not have to go thru the auction process.

777 is getting close to the forced retirement age of 65, so I would assume his sister is near that age…..but whatever floats your boat.

I’ll pray for you and your soy Nintendo switch son

You probably shouldn’t have stood so close to the microwave back in the day

ETA: I see you’re a chick. That joke was for your husband then

Are you a new seller? If so they might be trying to scam you. Do a search on ebay scams before accepting offers.

I would recommend posting this on the gaming board. May be some niche product that he is trying to sell.
