Well, this isn't 1985, so I think shipping a hard drive through the mail isn't the best way to send pictures?

I received $159 from eBay. I haven't figured out what it is for (my only sale item is still for sale) and I have only had that one item on line for six months.

I’ve started just throwing stuff away instead of listing on eBay. Not worth the squeeze anymore.

We have a guy on here that sells stuff from his finds from garage sales on ebay. He could probably help
Remember that if you are a new seller on ebay people are a little more cautious purchasing from you.

Gaming Board, not Tech Board. We have both. Choose the gaming.

I sell and buy fishing equipment.
Usually I go to fishing boards to sell or buy my fishing stuff.
Sometimes I just trade an item I do not want for an item I do.
No fees, you pay shipping and PayPal fee.
eBay hits you with too many fees.

Find a board that people buy that stuff and sell it that way.

Since you said this is your first time selling on eBay, these offers are likely scammers trying to take advantage of you. They likely ask you to ship to a different address than what is on their eBay account/PayPal.

Or they will ask to communicate through text message. Don't do that. Let the auction run. If they are serious they will bid.

If you are comfortable with your valuation ignore any ridiculous offers. Since they are listed as an auction even if your valuation is low they will sell for more or less market value unless you have a listing error and only one person catches it.

Anyone making an offer to pay more then listed is a scam. I ignore their emails. Usually coming from foreign accounts. You can see what like items have sold for . That’s your market price.

List it at buy it now for whatever you want to get for it.

eBay manages payments now and will take 12.5% of your sale price - shipping and that’s what you will earn.

I consign and resel eBay regularly. Nothing to be worried about.

Paypal sides with sellers. Bought a battery pack and the scammer shipped somthing to a random BR address and because USPS show it as delivered they didn't give me a refund.

I know a few people who buy clearance stuff from stores and turn around and sell it on eBay for more than they spent.

I never sold anything on eBay but they make a little extra spending $$$$ for vacations or whatever else they want.

Several people on here go to estate sales and then sale what they buy on eBay

Yeah well that’s just not true in all cases. I sold my entire lot of MOC TMNT 1988 collection. I got ripped off the leatherhead.

I quit selling on EBay in 2007 when they started siding with the buyers. One guy received the item and then protested and received a refund/kept the item.

I bought a fairly expensive item that got lost in transit. I got refunded and some time later it finally arrived. I contacted the seller offering to pay and he said not to bother. IDK who ate the cost.
