Among many many improvements needed, a brand new and attractive outfield entrance to the stadium, possibly connected to a walking bridge over Nicholson. Completely redone bleachers but more importantly a massive area for general admission seating, standing room for socializing, drinking, eating, possibly cooking, indoor dining and drinking, and watching the game.

Obviously chairbacks down the lines and closer seating to the field.

Other suggestions?

Hey, I have an idea. How about we wait a minute and let Jay Johnson and the new staff make some improvement suggestions to the LSU administration. Let them assess the situation and talk to their bosses about which improvements should be done first.

So tell us how Skip won 5 NCs playing in a depression era relic?

Backwards arse thinking. It’s not the 90’s anymore.

Improve the stadium atmosphere or fans will choose to stream the games online.

Is it possible be can build a fricking library while we're doing all this

Athletic money /= university funds

The library department needs to get their shite together and start fund raising. Create a damn fund drive specifically for that. Engage academic alumns. Engage athletes. Engage everyone. Keep the funding separate and only for the proposed library.

We threw a lavish party for alumns last year to kick off fierce for the future. Do something similar for the library. We have plans for where it’s going. LSU can find the design. Don’t go cheap on it. Build it the right fricking way.

The bleacher seats, not having the bullpen on the fricking field, have much much much better concessions.

There isn't much available room without making UHigh move their filed. Certainly not enough for a berm (except for a small one in Center) but I could see some condos along Left and Center with a parking garage attached to the back in Center.

I really don't see how we could get the bullpens off of the field and do a decent outfield project unless they are behind the centerfield wall.

Athletics generates its own profits for these upgrades dipshit. The state doesn’t pay it.

LSU athletics lost $80 million last year (at least that's what I heard on here). Typically athletics gives about $6 million back to the university.

For athletics to pay back $80 million it will take more than a $6 million annual payment. So I don't see money available for now.

When our stupid fans are not grousing about the PMAC they are making more senseless comments about another sports facility. It’s a god damn ball park stop the endless bitching. If you can't enjoy the game without sitting in the lap of luxury then watch it at home. This state is not awash in an endless stream of money. This constant shite about the facilities gets real old.
You're one of those cretins that loved the look of the old dilapidated Tiger Stadium with all the broken out windows and shite, aren't you?

It's an ARMS RACE in the SEC. You either keep up or you'll quickly persish.

Skipper's (Old jewish word for "Cheap.") cheap new Alex Box is a design eyesore and needs to be rebuilt just like Dudy Noble.........

You’d basically have to build a whole new stadium to make it number 1… that’s how far ahead Mississippi State is right now.

Meh, I think all the talk here has gotten to you. Looking at the dude, without all the hyperbole from here, it is the same grandstand as it always was, and it ain’t that special. The thing about the Box is that it has at least the same ability to be made better, probably more, than Dudy.

This whole thing has become “groupthink” based off of the fact that MSU, Arkansas, and maybe Ole Miss has fielded an overall better team than LSU over the last 4 years.

The reason there is constant "shite" about facilities is that it is a constantly changing situation and Mississippi State's new ballpark is a good example. It is the finest college ballpark in the country and will help State continue to recruit the best to Starkville. If LSU expects to continue to be the premier baseball program in college ball we have to have an outstanding ballpark and right now we don't have that.

i dont want luxury in the outfield. i want drunk and rowdy fans in the outfield making the box a formidable place. i want the vibe from tiger stadium to bleed into the box.

Would a beautiful live oak tree be feasible to replace the batters eye? It could be transplanted behind the centerfield wall. What’s the rants thoughts?

No they didn't. They are not $80 million in the hole. Their revenue was projected to go down $80 million but it didn't then the SEC took out a loan after they signed their ESPN contract and cut every school a $40 million check.

The people claiming LSU athletics doesn't have the money are the same people claiming no football assistants were getting fired, and we couldn't afford Mulkey
