Dudes passionate and his players seem to love him.

Only 43 years old and he is familiar with the program having coached here.

Plus he looks like he's from Golden Meadow.

Its Godwin.

He'd be an outstanding hire.

Worked in various roles in programs under Corbin, Mainieri, and Bianco. An excellent hitting coach and recruiter. And he and Ed Orgeron can bare knuckle box at a fundraiser and I'd pay $1,000 a ticket.

He would be my top pick as well. I think he has done really well at a school that isn't known for baseball.

Godwin looks like he’s a Coach O in training.

I really want Godwin as well and I have from the start. He’s coached at great programs as an assistant, has multiple years of sustaining his upward trajectory, is oddly the same age as Vitello considering Vitello looks and acts 23, and just carries himself like an elite baseball coach. I think he’s by far the best hire in the country right now and I’d be completely ecstatic if we announce him

Familiarity with the program should have no bearing on who gets hired

You give me one of these seven and I will be clapping-hands happy:

Corbin
Vitello
Johnson
O’Connor
O’Donnell
Godwin
Bakich

But since this thread is about Godwin, he’s got a reputation as a hard-nosed competitor with attitude whose players emulate him.

That’s just what LSU baseball needs.

He will be good. But there is a better one.

I firmly believe he was the reason we got to Omaha in 2014 and not Bianco

No thanks. I'd rather a coach that has been to Omaha.

I’d be very happy with Godwin. I have to think he would accept if given a credible offer. I’d hate to lose out on him while waiting on Corbin to finish his season, if that is indeed what the holdup is.

Of the choices reportedly available at this time, I like Godwin the best.

After all these allegedly reliable sources giving us their info, I am just ready to hear who it really is.

I'm praying you're right. He's my favorite but I definitely wouldn't be disappointed if it's Johnson or Vitello.
