There's a rather large difference between being "gluten intolerant" and having celiac disease. Based on this mother's response, I'm going to venture to guess her little precious is "gluten intolerant" along with a bunch of other "intolerances" instead of actual diagnosed diseases.

Last I checked, fresh fruit, vegetables, chicken, fish and rice are all gluten free.
I don't know why we aren't giving these folks anything besides that.
