re: Would you rather play Florida State in BR/Tallahassee or NOLA/Orlando?

NOLA/Orlando would be fun.
I have been to a game in Tallahasse when we played one of Bobby Bowden's teams. There is not much to do there and the game day atmosphere was underwhelming. Once is enough.
I have been to games in Orlando a few times beginning with Charlie Mac's last game in 1979. That is a much better road trip.

frick that game. I’ll also never forget how it was 80 degrees that morning. Then it rained it’s arse off and the temp dropped into the 50’s. I was soaked and the coldest I had been in my life.

dream trip of mine. did not make the trip to Lambeau. just think green bay is a nfl city and camp randall is a college town. college football is the best sport around.
have been lucky enough to make quite a few ooc road trips: seattle, tuscon, pasadena. i did go to houston to watch that wisconsin game, but that was just an easy road trip with lots of friends that live in texas.

Hell, we're already getting ready to legally pay players, why not go ahead and start playing more games in NFL stadiums.
In all seriousness, I just dont understand the appeal of taking games away from the home schedule. Even though New Orleans is an hour away, its still not a true home game. We have a very expensive, nice stadium. Why dont we use it?

Easy. Campus games.
I’d rather see FL St play in Tiger Stadium

BR/Tallahassee
for sure
But, this isn't about what the fans want...it's about money.

Neutral site games are about the cash for both teams. Organizers pay both schools money, and pay for most of the expenses. Much more profitable for the schools than bowl games.

2004 was a jolly time

I live in orlando so I like that option better obviously. If I were playing against LSU I would want to experience DV on a Saturday night though.

Seating at the stadium is 60k and the field is Astro turf or whatever they call it these days. Been to the last 2 LSU bowl games there and was pretty satisfied with layout and access. Shuttles run from local hotels so that was nice

I'm still wondering why these series aren't home and homes.
School gets paid to show up. Universities don't have to pay for event staff or to maintain the facilities before and after the event. It's a win win for the schools, maybe not so much for the local fans.

It's ok every now and then. If this was an every year type of thing I could see the problem. I live in the New Orleans area. It'll be nice to go catch a game and not have a 90 minute drive AFTER the hour of traffic in Baton Rouge.

I selfishly like the Orlando game bc im an hour from stadium

would much rather a home and home....hate neutral site games outside of the post season. I know it's for money and recruiting so I respect that...but damn the scene for tailgating followed by a packed death valley for Tigers vs Noles.... would be epic

Labor Day weekend game in Orlando? THAT is stupid for anyone who wants to go.

I'm biased, but the stadium and the field are new.
It's not JerryWorld, but it is MUCH better than it was against Penn State.

Wisconsin is the only one on this list that was a 2 game agreement, so it’s not like we missed out on those other stadiums, those games only happened because they were a single neutral site game

It’s done for recruiting purposes but I concur that on campus is more exciting.
It's about money. Only money.
