Would you rather play Florida State in BR/Tallahassee or NOLA/Orlando?

LSU and Florida State will play in New Orleans (2022) and in Orlando (2023).

I'm still wondering why these series aren't home and homes.

Maybe the trip to New Orleans will be fun for the Seminoles, but they won't get the real game day experience you would in Baton Rouge. Do people really want to go to Orlando? Seems like a true away game in Tallahassee would be better.

$

Not trying to sound dismissive, but the neutral site games aren’t anything new.

When I think about LSU playing in Orlando, I will never get the image of the worst field conditions I have ever seen out of my head

I'm sure more Fla St fans will come to NOLA than BR. It's all about the money.

On campus. I get why they did it this way though. Both schools will collect checks from two games and not one.

It’s done for recruiting purposes but I concur that on campus is more exciting.

Doak Campbell is a nice stadium and atmosphere but Tallahassee is an even bigger shithole than Baton Rouge.

ETA: Is the Orlando stadium in question the same one where we played the Capital One Bowl against Penn State? Unrelated to OP but that game was so bad.. cold, rain, mud, and a loss.

The stadium was essentially rebuilt about 6-7 years ago and is turf.

Both teams will walk away with two $2.5m+ checks for just showing up. Coaches will say it’s only about recruiting, but there is a lot of money to be made.

That was a terrible weekend. The Caterie burned down that same weekend. I believe it was that night? We were playing in Natchez that weekend, luckily. But we still had a few things in our practice room. Other bands weren’t so lucky.

Tallahassee and Br

The whole neutral site thing is bull shite.

How many people have been to Doak Stadium here?

Also think of all the other cool stadiums we missed: Miami, camp Randall (wisky), provost (byu), chapel hill (unc), Eugene (Or)

The neutral site shite is so dumb.

Just from the standpoint of travel for those of us who live out of state, Orlando and Nola are MUCH easier to get to by plane than Tallahassee or B.R. Allegiant always has cheap non stop flights to both cities. So does Spirit. And the new airline Breeze will start flying out of Nola this summer. Plus there is nothing to do in Tallahassee.

As someone who has been to autzen, I’d love to see LSU make the trip. We’d bring 10,000 and it would be incredibly noticeable in a stadium that size

I agree with you but Wisconsin was the only 2 game series of those games listed. There’s no guarantee those would have been away games.
