This is exactly why American sports need to evolve and become more strict about "opposing fans" and specifically designed seating sections for them. Too many idiots out there, who run their mouths and then shite like this ends up happening. Most stadiums now have "Family Zones" in place, why not start designating "Visitors Sections" in these stadiums? I don't want to hear the bitching and moaning about crappy seats either. Going to sporting events is becoming ridiculous. Nothing worse than paying premium price for premium seats, just to get to the game and have drunk Ravens sitting in front of you running their mouths the whole game. Happened to me during the Browns vs Ravens Sunday Night Football game this past season.

Everyone in the section is staring at them, so there was clearly a verbal argument leading up to the punch.

I think it means I'm becoming an old man, but I somewhat agree with you.

Lol what? I've been to countless stadiums from coast to coast my whole life and have never heard of such a concept. Sounds ridiculous.

Bc this is america? In cfb you already do have visitor sections. In tbe pros you've got your ticket holders and then the general public. If I'm the general public I should be able to buy a ticket wherever I want if I can afford to.

Then stay home. They paid the same premium price for premium seats that you did. At uga home games I have very good seats and every year there is an away fan somewhere within 50 feet of me in a seat somewhere bc the ticket holder decided to make money by selling his seat online and that's who bought it. That's life, I don't like it but nothing can be done about it.

If you are this shaken by an opposing fan being drunk around you at an NFL football game perhaps live sports aren't for you anymore

Only trashy people celebrate this. The guy opened himself up completely and had no hint of aggressive action. Guy walked to him from over 20ft away and did it. Garbage arse.

Lots of judgment of the puncher in this thread with absolutely no context to go on. Could've been a myriad of things that led to that and chances are the punchee likely deserved the punch. People say some nutty things out of their mouths these days and many deserve a punch in the mouth.

I give credit to the puncher. He took off on a walk across the stands with a purpose and completed that purpose. No pandering for cheers with that guy. Business like approach and it's refreshing. Most folks just want to have a pointless screaming match to suffice for confrontation these days. Needs to be more punches in the mouth.

Ill never understand this shite.

1) im sure the dude who got rocked said or talked shite before that led to this, bet he wasn't innocent.

2) what could you possibly say that would lead to someone walking all that way to punch you/ what makes you feel like you should go all the way over there to punch someone at a sporting event.

- what happened to just telling security to kick someone out

What kind of animal does that to another person. Encroaching his space without a mask.

Wrong. You don't just go punch someone because of something they say unless you're a weak bitch. That exact idea is why gangs constantly shoot and kill each other everyday.

Also, ITS AGAINST THE LAW.

You're a trashy person and a piece of shite.

One cheap punch can end or severely change one person's life forever. This isn't a batman film where they just fall over knocked out and wake up later all the time.

If you're going to punch someone like that, you best be prepared to kill him.

Im sure it went something like this:

knocked out "You just a bitch and wont do nothin"

Obliger "keep talking and im going to walk over there"

knocked out "tell your whore to come over here"

obliger....walks over and knocks his arse out.

There's very few even near them, and why would anyone get in the middle of a petty squabble like this? What a stupid take.

Well, people did get into it after the punch so my point was maybe just maybe the Padres fan was in the wrong from the beginning and it was brewing for a while.

Disagree. Fwiw I’ve never thrown a first punch in my life nor been in a fight for probably 20 years, but every fight starts with a first punch. This one just ended with the first punch also.

I have no idea what started this, but it’s pretty clear by everyone else watching they had been yelling at each other. I don’t condone fighting especially at stadiums but both were grown men acting a fool here.

Are you sure you're an adult? There's no scenario, outside of someone physically showing signs they're going to commit violence, where you should just punch someone in the face. None. I don't care what you and your shite hole buddies do, and no one wants to be in an environment with pieces of shite who think it's okay to do such things. If you can't verbally spar with someone from over 20ft away without it coming to blows, then you don't need to be out in public.

Somehow I've been to hundreds of ball games and this never happened. Maybe because I understand how to conduct myself in public.

To be fair they were all Rockies fans best I can tell. It’s not like Padres fans jumped in to save a Rockies fan from a Rockies fan.

If you don’t want to get knocked out, don’t start shite in the first place as far as I’m concerned.
