I didn't see the puncher get "whooped". Looks like they just subdued him.

Never antagonize a grown man in a jersey, a clear sign they have nothing to lose.

It was Fluminense vs the visiting team ( dont remember their name ). I was alone and bought a ticket at the gate. When you buy tickets they ask you what team you are for; I told them it wasnt important so they stuck me on the visiting side.

It was weird because there were barely any visiting fans there so half the stadium was almost empty and the other half was packed. Although I was comfortable with no one sitting around me, I kind of wish I had sat on the other side, because it looked like they were having a great time.

How that Padres fan enjoys jail and the subsequent lawsuit that bankrupts him. That'll be one of the easiest convictions ever.

The frick? Why?

He must have said something super awful that he doesn't want getting out b/c the dude who hit him was the clear aggressor.

Pressing charges is for pussies. It’s the grown up equivalent to getting hit in grade school then running and crying to the teacher.

Yeah then it must be something he said that will frick him in the long run. Must have been hurling crazy amounts of bigoted speech at the dude.

We see the video of the incident but there are always two sides to the story...

Although I point out the guy who threw the punch stood calmly knowing he was about to be mobbed

it’s weird how certain crimes (even with multiple witnesses present or if caught on video) need for the victim to actually press charges. The whole country just witnessed you commit a crime, but it’s not technically a crime (or you can’t get in trouble) if the victim doesn’t want to press charges. Just a weird concept.

Kinda like picking up the flag on defensive pass interference, simply because the ball was deemed uncatchable. Ok, that example is probably a reach, but since this is the sports board, I tried

The state can still press charges on its own. They just usually honor the victim's wishes in simple assault cases.

I don’t know whet lead up to this. But it wasn’t exactly a sucker punch. The way he approached should have told the other guy to be ready.

The Rockies fan was making vulgar and obscene remarks about the Padres fan after reporting and having the Padres fan's dad removed.
