Every soccer stadium in Europe does it this way.
Most of their stadiums have designated areas for their own crazy fans, then regular fans, then family areas, and then they usually have the visitors in their own section that is isolated from the rest of the stadium.

This is a poor comparison. I don’t disagree with having a family area, that’s fine.
But many if not most Euro stadiums don’t sell alcohol inside the stadium and they are FAR from a kids atmosphere. If you have a kid/ family area it’s not going to be great seats and there’s not going to be booze sold there. So many people would still choose to sit in a different area to have a beer in better seats.

You sound like a wuss. There aren’t any more fights these days than there were in the 80s or 90s, they are just easier to see now

I went to a soccer game at the Maracana in Rio. Not only are the home fans and visiting fans separated, but the visiting fans are supposed to leave the game first followed by the Home fans so that they don’t mix in the concourse. There was an announcement over the loudspeaker with a couple of minutes left in the game that it was time for the visiting fans to start leaving.
