An hour of exhaust from a lawn mower is equivalent to driving an F150 for a full tank of gas.

So let's make little itty bitty catalytic converters.

Just giving the meth heads something else to steal- why not just buy drugs for them?

Battery powered electric

I've heard there pretty great for small lawns

In my experience, not worth a frick. After Katrina I moved into a place in Metairie. I didn't have a new mower yet and the grass at this place was a little high, so the neighbor let me borrow his battery mower the first week. The tall grass would kill the engine easily. I'm not taking knee-high grass either. Just a few inches. The battery engine couldn't take it.

I bought a gas mover immediately after that.

If these things are to be better-regulated, it should be about the nuisance they create. I can get behind this, but I'm not pretending it's because nature doesn't like some stupid molecules they release. It's because they're annoying as frick to everyone except the guy who got up at 6AM to play with his stupid yardwork toys.

Next issue is Farting, Blacks will be allowed to fart, Whites have to buy a special farting license. Neighborhoods will have "No Farting" zones patrolled by the Fart Police. There is no end to this.

That was 16 years ago, you think nothing has changed in battery technology since then? There are now 60 and 80 volt commercial equipment available that is excellent. I take care of a one acre lot with lots of fencing, driveway and trees. I weedeat, trim the hedges, blow off the driveway, and decks using the same battery pack. Got rid off all gas yard tools except my riding mower, but that may change, a friend mows two acres with a electric rider. I don’t care about carbon emissions, what happens to the batteries, will never own a electric vehicle, but battery lawn tools are fantastic. Low noise, don’t have to wear ear protection, start every time, don’t have to buy gas, and mix fuel, I will never go back to gas.

California is going to have a real bad wake up call once they go fully electric. How are they going to charge all those batteries? How do you dispose of those batteries when they die?

Nah, the wakeup call is going to come when the annual rolling blackouts start and everything you need to operate is reliant on a plug.

How would land scaping companies work? They seem to require gas eqiupment with the amt of work they do.

That's going to be awesome as the grass doesn't quit growing and nothing battery operated loves better than tall grass.

There is a good reason John Deere puts not one, but two beer holders next to the seat on its lawn tractors.

Not surprised

I've never owned an electric. I wound up giving my mower away to a guy that was starting up his own lawn service business. Worked out well because he gave me a big discount for helping him get started.
