See if someone you know has a coolant pressure tester... if so put the tester on the coolant fill port, then pump it up to 1-2 psi above what the cap says, then sit there and start watching for a leak that will tell you exactly where it’s leaking from

Replace the entire coolant system.....water pump, thermostat, and radiator.

May as well why you are at it. Probably 300 bucks.

Depending on the vehicle, a radiator is relatively cheap and a pretty simple repair. If you are reasonably handy with a wrench, you can probably find a detailed write up and video on youtube and do it yourself. The worst part is the draining, containing and disposal of the coolant.

It could also be a head gasket leak

This. If you cant find the leak then it is likely being consumed in your engine. Tell tale is a little white smoke from the tailpipe if it is detectable. A lot of white smoke if it is blown.

Likely the radiator wasn’t the same quality as the original OEM. A lot of people in the Land Cruiser world have been using Mishimoto after failure of the replacement OEM one.

Hose leak: Prepare to give thanks.
Radiator leak: Prepare to open wallet.
Head leak: Prepare thy anus.

Take it to a radiator shop and let them see where it’s leaking before you end up spending money you don’t need to.

The movie Sex Drive taught me that you can just piss in it and it'll be fine.

Yeah it's a twin turbo. Does that complicate things?

If you don't see a visible leak it could be the turbos leaking. Which is a bit more complicated needing a turbo rebuild.

Andy, what can you do me on a W221 radiator?

$800 cash (installed) is the deal right now

Get the part and come to my house and we can do it together for beer.

Can be a more complicated job on a turbo vehicle just due to packaging as their is 10 pounds of shite in a 5 pound bag.

But basically unbolt and disconnect until you can remove it. Some cars the bumper cover needs to come off too.

Definitely get it checked out. I had a slow leak I was doing the same thing with then one day my thermostat blew into pieces and I have to replace all the hoses and thermostat once I got it towed to the repair shop at my own expense.

You'll save time and money by getting it looked at now.

Pretty sure. This all started shortly after I hit a deer on the road.

It's possible it's just a hose.

If the cost to replace the radiator isn't absurd I would think this would be the route to go.

i had an accident where i was knocked into the driver in front of me at while at a red light. damage was repaired but months later i kept getting low refrigerant. turned out the top section of the mostly plastic radiator would leak at high temp.

replaced the radiator
