My garage sale finds 4/9 - Maybe the greatest find of my hobby

I spent $370. My major (possible) find is posted last below
$10 Hot Wheels Sizzlers
$15 Care Bear cell
$5 letter from John Glenn about the Challenger disaster
$5 Joe DiMaggio autograph
$10 three Oklahoma Heisman winners autographs
$5 Bob Hope autograph
$8 Arcom medal with cluster (funny thing I lost mine many years ago, I’m keeping it. Mine was cluster as well)
$5 Guinness beer pool stick
$5 freaky head sculpture
$40 Atari 2600
$20 Strombecker race sets
$2 Star Wars At-At walker
$10 Army signal light
$5 Library of Congress player (this is the second one I bought in last six months. They sell for $200 if they work. Not sure if this works)
And for $200, I bought this very old Werlein’s silver alto saxophone. It’s made by Conn. This may be the most valuable thing I’ve ever bought in 20 years.

No fricking way a legit Joe D autograph goes for $5

That's a pretty good haul. That sax is a thing of beauty.

how much is the sax worth?

If that Atari is in working order, that's a nice chunk of change as well.

Im not sure, but I believe this is the exact same one

They were asking $300. I know nothing about musical instruments. I offered $200 and they took it. I found the one on eBay a little while ago.

It's just by itself on a piece of paper it seems... I don't know why an autograph would go for much unless it's on something special or to someone significant.

Yeah, the DiMaggio auto is only worth $20 or so

My first thought. If it is real, would be worth some money, but you'd have to get a professional to certify it.

Doesn't matter, had sax.

I still don't understand your "luck" with how much you find, but I love these post.
I also like waiting to see the normal fricktards who show up to say something about where you store everything and how trashy your house is along with comments about buying crap.
It's like their tiny brains can't quite grasp what you do and the money you make off of a simple hobby.

I’ve heard of stolen valor but is there such a thing as ‘repurchased from a stranger for a very cheap price valor”?
Those items look awesome. Is the Challenger letter signed?
Edit: I can see the signed page through the first page. Very cool if it’s hand-signed.

Ya, I don't get those tards. Most people have hobbies that cost them money. Sometimes a bunch of money. He happens to have one where he actually ends up making a bit of money instead.

I'd pay $5.00 for your autograph. You may go against you're past and do something worthwhile one day.

They are like $11 brand new, oak leaf under $2. And it’s a ARCOM.
