Yep. I have one south of where I live, and one north. The one north is in a very good area. The one on the south, isn't in a bad area of the town, but it's a more urban place. The service, speed, food at the south one is far superior. Nearly every time I have been gone north, they are rude, slow, and the food is pretty garbage. I had a burnt biscuit last time. If the biscuit is garbage, then everything else is ruined.

Their fried steak and gravy biscuit is pretty damn good. Don't think I've ever eaten there besides breakfast.

Hardee's fried chicken was better than Popeyes. Then, they took it off the menu and changed their french fries to those crappy skin-on things.

The talent pool is very small when you look for employees with Popeye type skill sets. But when you find them you hold on to them even if it means bailing them out of jail.

The old Popeyes that was close to my work back in California was run by an Indian family. The efficiency and cleanliness rivaled chick fil a, as did their level of service. It was weird to go into a Popeyes and have it feel like the employees were happy to see you instead of you feeling like you were interrupting their good time.
