I was taking my kids on a day trip once and all of a sudden I had 4 other people headed to the same place. Took all of 30 seconds to convert the back row from storage to seating and we rolled 7 deep. And STILL had plenty of space for cargo.

I grew up riding around in Chrysler Town & Country's. I'm young enough to where I got to enjoy the automatic sliding doors/hatch and a rear drop down TV with DVD player. I'm not going to argue with you there.
Thing was nice as shite back in the day when Chrysler used to make decent vehicles.

We have a highlander as family car (because my wife didnt want to own a ‘minivan’). But I know sienna is close in a lot of ways, but I know interior space & storage is better in the sienna, and in tight parking spots I would enjoy the sliding doors for sure. I wish we had the sienna most days, cool factor is gone when you have kids regardless lol

My mom had a 1996 Dodge Caravan and it was fire. No TV's or auto doors back then, but our previous van only had a sliding door on the right - that double sliding door was a game changer!

We bought a 2011 LE in March 2010 and still have it. It has 125K miles on it and still runs great. Yesterday we brought it to the dealership to have the spark plugs replaced. This is standard maintenance at around 120K miles. We were told we have an oil leak by the drip pan and another by the timing belt compartment. Total repair cost is $5k. We decided to keep the money and live with the nuisance leaks (I have noticed a little bit of oil under our carport in the past but it is not significant). We will use the repair money to help pay for a new Sienna in a couple of years.
Also worth mentioning that we added an aftermarket receiver and have used the minivan to haul a 5X8 trailer and a small boat.
We decided to take a look at the 2021 Siennas while at the dealership. They are all hybrid models and the batteries have a 10 year warranty. My only concern is whether or not the faux wood grain console is scratch resistant. Otherwise, they are very nice. For $2.3K you can add a sunroof.

They make great hunting vehicles. You can sleep in the back and tow your boat no problem.

Probably the most functional car you can buy. Super comfortable. All the features you need. All the room you could ever ask for and Toyota reliability. Large roof with roof racks for carrying lumber, canoes, kayaks, etcetera and even a little towing ability. What's not to like?

Siennas are great vehicles. I’m a huge advocate for the minivans.

This guy nails it plus the newer ones easily fold down the back seats so u can use it to haul bigger items if you need to.
If your wife is caught up with it being a “mom” mobile then let her test drive it around with the kids for a day. She will realize how great it is.
Also, replying to a “mom mobile” comment from the wife with a “You’re a mom!” comment back typically doesn’t work

Best road trip vehicle ever. Drove 1,000 miles straight and it was so easy in a minivan.

My buddy has a Tacoma and the wife drives a 2014 odyssey
He much prefers the odyssey. Says the engine is great and it’s super comfortable. Surprisingly quick he says

Never understood why vans get a bad rep

My brother's wife has a Sienna. They love it. They hate that it doesn't have Carplay but I was actually talking to him earlier about getting a Kenwood head unit installed that would actually solve that problem.
They use the Sienna as yellow cabs in Chicago. They get abused and beaten to hell for about 400,000 miles before they go to the junkyard. If you buy one and keep the transmission fluid fresh and keep the oil changed, it will serve you well for a long time.

It’s really baffling. Hands down the best vehicles for long trips, especially with these newer models.
With the new safety systems there’s not that danger of smashing little hands in sliding doors, they ride smooth, load and unload easy...and I mean, you can literally put a bed in the back.
Sure, little coupes might be sexy...but if it’s sexing you want? If the minivan’s a rocking don’t come a knocking
