I think a lot of people are going to get worked up over nothing in this thread.

I'd say its about 80% we trade this pick.

Maybe, but I think they're more likely to trade the Lakers pick than their own unless someone too good to pass up is available.

I just feel naturally Texas players takes longer to develop and are two year projects. No way that happens if this team is hell bent on making the playoffs next year.

I think that's mostly because their prospects of late have been all centers which has a longer learning curve in general -- Jarrett Allen, Mo Bamba, Jaxson, now Kai. I also have my reservations for Shaka as a coach, but that's for another day.

I don't know that Kai is the right pick for us, but I will say that I feel his ceiling is the highest once you get outside of Cade, Mobley, Suggs, Green, and Kuminga. The flashes he's shown have been other worldly.

I think I would prefer one of Keldon, Giddey, Barnes, Wagner, Moody, Ziaire as of right now. And in my dream scenario, we pass on Davion Mitchell in the lottery and get McBride, Garuba, or Ayayi later on. I think you just gotta keep going with the ceiling guys in the lottery to either hit on a star or package for a stud. If a team is trading their stud, they will want ceiling guys and not guys like Davion, imo. McBride, Garuba, Ayayi give you some of that dog mentality and extra possessions that Davion would fight for with more room for development as younger guys and at a cheaper draft spot.

Some new draft material:

Jonathan Wasserman updated his big board: LINK

One guy he is pretty low on, but I would like to take with one of our seconds in Ben Mathurin. He can immediately contribute as a shooter at the very least, but I think there's a lot more to him than that.

Jeremy Woo posted a mock draft since I last updated the OP: LINK

Pels picks: Kispert, Isaiah Todd, Roko Prkacin, Juhann Bégarin, Rokas Jokubaitis

And lastly, Nate Babcock posted a big board on Twitter that I thought was really well thought out if you are a draft geek like me lol. He breaks the prospects down into tiers and explains his whole draft strategy and reasoning behind why prospects are where they are on his board and how/when they will be able to contribute in the NBA. Looks like Kuminga is falling.

Josh Giddey who I have mentioned on here seems to be rising up big time

I'll be pissed if they take Kispert when Moody is still on the board.

I would agree. Hell after the first 4 guys, i like him the most.
I still wouldn't be that upset if we took Kispert though. You know exactly what you are getting with him, and it's exactly more of what we need, shooting. He's one of the more sure things in the lottery after the first 4, even though his ceiling isn't that high.

In our draft picks, I do not see any from the Lakers in the AD trade. What is going on with those picks? Will we ever get value out of these considering LA is good and should be good for next few years at least.

Unless it ends up in the top 5, I don't see us using it either.

Terrance Clarke out of Kentucky passed away in a car accident.

He was potentially a top 10 pick.

If Cam Thomas is available at 29, I would be yelling at the TV for Langdon to trade up. That's absolute steal territory. He was absolutely a volume scorer at LSU, but his attitude is just so business-like that I don't think he'll let himself fail.

Damn, that's tough. It happened right in front of Brandon Boston, too.

RIP and don't feel great about saying it but he wasn't a top 10 pick. Before the season he and Boston were thought of that way but the season at UK was disastrous for them.

Oh wow, I didn't realize his stock had fallen that far during the season. I haven't paid much attention to draft prospects this year.

Either way, tragic end for a kid that hadn't had the chance to live his dream yet.

I'm not a big college basketball fan. What separates Moody from Springer?

We have their 2021 pick, but it's protected 8-30. Then becomes unprotected 2022.

Also have their 2024 pick which can be deferred to 2025, which is probably likely

For me not a whole lot. Both have shown signs of being good on both offense and defense. Springer is more of a 1/2, while Moody is more of a 2/3.

Springer seems to hesitate on shooting, while Moody isnt shy to take a volume of shots.

As some have mentioned unless we get fortunate and get a top 3 pick, we need to look at it this way the more we move up in draft order the better the player we get when we trade the pick with Bled.
