Shooters, shooters, shooters
Defense, defense
So I’d take Moses Moody with the first

If we are outside of the top 5 and he's available yeah.

Yeah I love Moody’s game. But I want Green or Suggs if we don’t get 1.

God this draft is stacked.

Yeah shooting and defense should definitely be our focus. Outside of the top guys in this draft, I really would like for us to get either Miles "Deuce" McBride from West Virginia or Davion Mitchell from Baylor later in the first/early second. Both of these guys can shoot the 3 ball and really dig in defensively. Not the highest ceiling guys in the world but they are absolute gamers and will have a role in this league for a long time.

I’d say there’s a >50% chance that pick is traded.

Fire Griffin right now then. Before this happens

Honestly, i know we just drafted a PG in Kira, but if we have the 9th or 10th pick then I would not mind taking Ayo Dosunmu from Illinois. He is already 21, but he’s improved every year and hes now averaging 21-6-5 shooting over 50% from the field and 40% from 3. But offense isnt even his best attribute, he is a 6’6” long-armed, athletic defender who absolutely causes problems for people he guards. He could probably play 1 or 2 in the NBA and guard 1-3 if he puts on a little strength
I said this exact thing in a thread a few weeks ago, these guys scream at the very least “bench scorer” for a while in the NBA in my opinion. Both have the upside to be good starters, too

I'll take Suggs over Green.
I know Green looks good on paper, but in the end I worry about how he will defend. He can add strength but I not sure he ever becomes more than an average defender. He might put up 25 ppg by being the first option in Houston or Detroit, but since we have Zion we need someone who can play off the ball and defend the wing. I think Suggs can do that. Suggs can probably play the 1 or 2 while being good enough to defend early in his career.

If we are not in top 2 with Suggs/Cunningham. I really like Kuminga or Barnes. We are desperate for another SF. I also hope we sign Dinwiddie to be our PG though.

If we don't land a top 5 pick, I want Wagner. Guy is exactly what we need. Two way player with good length that should be able to play SG and SF in the league.

Youd prefer Wagner over Moody?
Posted on 3/12/21 at 11:13 am to Macintosh504
Yes. A lot More length, switchability with Ingram, low usage, better IQ, and I like his potential to be a spacer at the 4 in small ball lineups. Wagner is the versatile Wing we've been crying for all offseason.

I really need to watch Wagner. I've got a few Michigan games saved on my YouTube TV that I'll have to catch up to when the season is over.
Tonight is a great time to get a look at Cade Cunningham. 5:30p Central against #2 Baylor who has two potential first round guards in Davion Mitchell and Jared Butler.
Evan Mobley faces off against Colorado tonight at 10:30p.
Ayo Dosunmu plays Rutgers at 5:30p.
Scottie Barnes plays North Carolina at 7:30p.
Moses Moody plays Missouri at 6p.
Cam Thomas plays Ole Miss at 8:30p.
Jaden Springer and Keon Johnson are playing Florida now.

I wouldn't mind taking a chance on Pons or Herbert Jones in the second round. Both are switchable defenders.
Also like Duarte from Oregon as a late first rounder. I think he is this year's Desmond Bane

Pons just had 6 blocks in the first half. We could use a high energy multi positional defender like him.

Im looking at the Kentucky guys in the mid to late first.
Basically all the recent Kentucky players have preformed better in the NBA than they did at UK.

Some new draft reading material released this week...
• Kevin O'Connor's Big Board | The Ringer's 2021 Draft Guide
• Jonathan Wasserman makes some Pro Comps for some of the Tourney's Top Prospects
• NBA Draft Central has a list of prospects to watch by Tournament Region
If we end up missing out on a top 5 pick (Cade/Suggs/Green/Mobley/Kuminga), I really am starting to like the idea of Moody or Barnes for us.
