Went to the cardiologist and did a stress test. All the medical assistants were obese and don't do the stress tests. One said she was supposed to do it two years ago. They have access to health care and do not use it.

Well in a fashion the Fats do. They buy more food. They tend to buy larger vehicles that usually burn more gas. Their tires wear out quicker and so do their brakes.

As someone who has a BMI just high enough to get the covid vaccine i agree 
. Although i do workout 4x a week and have been for sometime(just need to do more cardio). Lower tax bracket here i come baws.

I'm a low tax guy, but this has to be the stupidest comment ever made about taxes. Governments are necessary and they take money to operate. Does ours waste an absolute shite load, yes, but that doesn't mean all taxation is theft.

They only cost society really a lot if they are not paying for their own private insurance.
And the ones on Medicaid aren't paying taxes anyway.

There should just be a consumption tax on everything and no income tax.
That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

There's definitely pros and cons to both. The rest of the world uses a value added tax just as you mentioned, but some are over 25%.
And in my opinion, implementation would be a nightmare. Had we originally implemented a VAT, maybe it would have worked, but it'd be a disaster now

We need to simplify the tax code. Get rid of all credits and deductions, and you could lower the tax rate. It's needlessly complicated.
