If you look at what they cost society, it's only fair.

A couple questions

-how do you implement? Everyone go to the DMV on their birthday to get weighed in?

-what do you do with Pregnant women? Do they get a pass and do we then get a bunch of recycling pregnant women each year?

-what will qualify as fat? BMI? Yikes

-why not single out smokers? Tobacco users? Marijuana users? People that run with scissors?

-what about anorexics? They’re fine?

yea....shows your intellegent level if you think that is a yikes

The whole point of his proposal is we are constantly paying for these people and they are costing more and more each year.

I am good with everyone of your proposals or the better idea would be to stop paying for them with welfare and food stamps and not everyone in group plans has to pay the same. Should be based on individual physical.

If you are doing it per current CDC standards, 95% of Americans will have to pay a higher tax rate.

Better idea: Get rid of most government programs/departments/offices/etc (Leave only national defense, emergency ops, and infrastructure) and nobody has to pay high taxes at all.

The easiest thing to do is to have an added sugar tax on food. One penny per gram of added sugar per serving. If you buy a bag of white or brown sugar that would not be taxed since it's a legitimate baking and cooking ingredient. We tax tobacco (we should tax tobacco more to pay for its medical costs).

Why?? Carbs and sugar are fine if you are in a caloric deficit and eating correct amount of protien.

Carbs dont make you fat, overeating for your activity level makes you fat.

Dont punish people wiht self control for those that dont.

What you gonna tax the bodybuilder that eats chicken and rice all day?

and no the easiest thing to do would be to quit subsidizing things. Want food stamps??? Cool, you can eat Eggs, Beans, Rice, Ground Beef and Chicken. Everything else they pay for.

Stop making insurance companies ahve to offer everyone in a group the same rate. I shouldnt have to pay for the 50 year old in the office next too me that is 3 bills plus.

What's the standard you want to use to determine what a person pays?

What is the bottom line of officially being fat in the government's eyes?

BMI

Extremely flawed.

I'm 5'10 and 185 pounds. According to the BMI, I should weigh 160. So according to that, I'm overweight, and borderline obese. If I weighed 160, I'd look like I had cancer or something.

No doctor I know follows the BMI.

I'm just saying that you can't go with BMI as the standard.
