Commission sales/working for yourself can be brutal

I only made $3,408 today while making an arse of myself on the OT and what's even worse is I might only make another few hundred before the end of the week and maybe only $2,500 next week. Who knows? I envy all you w2 baws working under the safety net of someone else's dream out there. My butler has been given notice that his hours might be cut to 18 hours a day soon and I feel terrible. He has kids to feed and and mortgages to pay on his second home and beach cottage.

FYI —real OT ballers make 6-7 figure commissions on one deal. In fact, they don’t even mess around with anything that brings in. 4 figure commission. Those are for the new hires or old semi retired guys.

I haven’t been on a payroll in 18 years.Self employed - commission only. The idea of having a capped income is bizarre to me after all these years. I guess it all depends on what your income actually is.
