Do you think its a problem that stores have a "no shoes, no shirt, no service" policy?

Where or where could stores have gotten the crazy idea to require shoes and a shirt?
But that probably doesn't hold water with you, because you and all the other oh-so-rational moderns are happy to chuck out millennia of western tradition if pozpular culture tells you that's the nice thing to do.

What point does one make by being resistant to mask mandates?

You have to be very stupid to think that this is a legitimate question.

a grocery store has a mask policy, you either wear a mask or go somewhere else, regardless of how you feel about mask policies.
Not true at all. I’ve been to several stores and grocery ones with mask pictures and signs on the door. Several of us inside aren’t wearing masks. No one says anything.

I beat that lil bitch disease and go and do whatever sans mask...

No, thanks. Haven’t worn one in months, and no one says anything about it. For you to tell someone what he or she needs to do is a big I don’t think so. Worry about yourself.

If masks are so fool proof and scientific for eradicating Covid, why hasn’t it completely disappeared? People have been wearing them for almost a year.

The mask isn't for you, science denier. It's for every one else.

Just comply.

Well, farts probably project the virus too, so I want you to wear a double diaper now. Put your diaper on please.

Where the hell do all you people live where you get confronted like that? I rarely wear a mask anymore since I got Covid back in November and never once have I been approached and asked to wear a mask.

Since the chinavirus began I've been to Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Utah, Oklahoma and Arkansas. In each state, when I was in a rural area, very few people wear masks in stores. Nobody bothers you whether you wear a mask or not. Presumably, the thought is that if you think you need a mask, wear it.

Why not just comply?

Fighting with the officer is not the answer.

Am I doing this right?

Tell me how I'm harming the store. They aren't facing any penalties from the government where I am, as long as they say they are enforcing the mandate.

The store absolutely could face consequences from the government for failing to comply with the mandate. In fact, they are much more likely than individuals to experience negative consequences via fines, pulled licenses, etc. Not mention things like negative publicity, etc.

Short-sighted to me would be what I perceive you to be doing. Complying with the store policies because they have rights, even though, in so doing, you are playing along with government mandates that have decreased everyone's rights and showing the government that people will comply with future mandates. Short-sighted is exactly the accusation I would level at that behavior.

I would expect this from someone who doesn’t understand rights.

You want to protest government mandates? Go maskless to government buildings. I would support that endeavor. But acting in manner that may place the consequences on people who 1) didn’t create the mandates and 2) probably don’t support the mandates all for the sake of protest is incredibly naive.

Takes 2-3 weeks after second shot for you to have the full protection of vaccine.

Just like it takes 2 weeks after a flu shot for you to have the protection from the vaccine.

Good point, so technically I’m not even fully vaccinated, I think Monday will be 2 weeks after my second shot

Eta: Or Tuesday

As of now it’s unknown, but my work got some literature last week that there’s still no evidence of people spreading it once vaccinated after a certain time period, it’s all been mostly small studies so far though

Was the literature printed by the CDC? Because if not then it’s BS. Every person I know who works in a hospital has said with no exceptions, you can still transmit the virus even if you’re vaccinated. You just have a higher percentage of not getting it yourself. So you’re not doing anyone else any favors by not wearing a mask. Hell, I hate the damn things but I’m gonna wear em when required and when I’m around others who might need me to wear it. A good friend of mine has been in the hospital for almost a month now because of it having developed pneumonia and he’s just a normal guy, not high risk for any reason. You’re just being a jerk.

It was literature the La EMS Bureau sent to us from Moderna (spell?). In reality they don’t truly know, but so far in their small studies there has been no evidence of spread once fully vaccinated, which technically LSUNurse pointed out correctly I’m a few days away from being, so I was wrong.

I’ve been wearing a mask and still do when in public for work. Yes I think it’s time now that a vaccine has been out for a couple months for people to have the option if they want to wear one. If a store tells me I have to have one then I’m not gonna be rude to them, I’ll either put one on or politely say ok and go somewhere else. I’m not a jerk at all, I wasn’t fond of getting the vaccine, but one of the reasons I did was to hopefully protect my patients in the ambulance and to be one more vaccinated statistic in Louisiana to hopefully help push us to normalcy

People should be able to go in public without a mask and not be harassed by random people

Eta: This literature was just prior to me getting my first shot, so not sure if anything has changed since then. I’ve tried to research it but not much recent comes up

You’re a brain dead moron.

The CDC is going to rely on studies to determine its recommendations; it doesn’t really print it’s own literature.

The initial trials of the vaccines did not conclude that transmission rates remained constant after vaccination; they simply didn’t look at it. So the CDC is going to remain conservative on that issue until proven otherwise.

From a scientific standpoint, transmission is most likely going to dramatically decrease with vaccination because both the rate of transmission and severity of the disease are contingent on viral loads which the vaccines decrease exponentially.

You lemmings are the worst. You just regurgitate bullshite that you don’t come close to understanding.
