See my siblings and mom all have to work...in places where the public shop. Last thing we want is for them to get it and come home and give it to my medically frail father.
So I’m glad the mask mandates at stores is still enforced where I live. Makes me feel better about my family. They can’t stay home, they have to work. But they also have to keep my dad safe.
I’m taking my parents for their first dose of vaccine tomorrow and it will be a huge weight lifted off my shoulders to know my dad will soon have more protection from a virus that could kill him considering all his health issues.

Back in April I was in Walmart bday shopping for my son. Had a mask on but this was back in the "only go in public for essential items" time period. I was in toy section and had a lady tell me none of that is essential. I gave the same reaction to the lady the other day questioning me for not having mask on, I said nothing and kept on shopping, fortunately they both left it at that. I do have a goal of never being in a viral video, so I'm not saying shite back.
I watched a lady back in the summer walk up to a guy with her phone out recording, in a parking lot, bash him for not wearing a mask. He had a mask on and took it off once outside, he did the same, ignored her and kept on walking. We got bashed on social media working a car wreck, none of us had mask on but was cutting the person out, lots of people were out watching and recording. Got posted to social media on a popular page.

She didn't break any laws, just an unconstitutional executive edict. The only ones that should be going to jail are the politicians that violated her rights and the cops that illegally detained her.

That's good to hear, it's definitely a relief. My FIL wouldn't have survived it imo. He has COPD

As soon as I can get my siblings vaccinated I will do that as well (none of them drive so it will be me taking them to the drive thru vaccine pods here).
Next phase here to open up will be essential workers (like those working in grocery stores like my siblings work at). So I’m hoping to get them vaccinated soonish.

i wonder when i, an in-shape, under 30, white collar worker with zero health issues will be able to get one

Reading scientific literature isn’t super-difficult. And the “medical community” runs the gauntlet from award-winning epidemiologists to candy stripers who can barely read. Using that term as an appeal to authority doesn’t carry a lot of credibility.

Go volunteer at a vaccine pod. All volunteers at the pods here were offered the vaccine.
They usually need several non medical volunteers
Also...at the end of each day if there were extra doses they would ask the volunteers there if they had any friends or family that wanted the dose. If they could show up in 45 minutes they got a shot. They didn’t want the doses to go to waste.

Very accurate in LOUISIANA as well.
I do find the lack of cases among the homeless population to be interesting.

That’s a fricking Karen, the store has a policy and chooses to enforce it. They are a private business and can enforce a policy no matter if any federal law exists. She would fall into the realm of trespassing if she didn’t abide by the policy of the store and they didn’t want her there. Don’t like the mask policy, shop elsewhere. I choose to do the same a lot when stores have no carry policies.
