Will Conservative States Split if the Dems add 2 States as a Counter?

This is about to be a big mess...
If the Dems add 2 States creating 4 Senators and several House reps I wonder if that would compel Conservative States or conservative parts of liberal states to split and form new states to counter liberal additions.
This nation is out of freaking control. This shite that is going on is how wars are created

You can't create a new state out of an existing one.

I don’t support DC statehood, but you do realize that we’ve added 37 states to the Union and not once has that development caused a war?

That’s exactly what will happen. Georgia and Atlantastan for starters.

So if the filibuster is not eliminated, how is this going to happen? Sounds like for now, there is an agreement that it won't be overturned. Thus, no radical bullshite gets passed for the time being.

2/3 majority in both House and Senate required. Won't happen.

Republicans are never going to go along with this.
You people still don't realize what we are up against.
We've been electing that guy you know at church that always drives the speed limit while Democrats have been electing cutthroats who know when and how to break the rules without getting caught.

Looks like some West coast states need to split. California can easily be split into 3 or 4 states that better resembles each area's values.

District of Columbia (Square Miles): 61.05

And, they want 2 freaking Senators???
Corrupt sobs. Atlanta is a lot bigger than that.
Why not just merge DC between Virginia and Maryland. Then rotate the capitol between the states? Move it every 2 to 5 years.

on the DC statehood issue, the non-federal land areas just need to go back to Maryland like the area south a the Potomac went back to Virginia.
net effect would be Maryland would get 1 more house rep and NY or Cali would lose one house rep

Lets just make this easy and get right to what the left wants. Abolish the 2 senator representation and assign Senators based on population and ideology of there citizens.
Sarcastic but this is essentially what the Dems and the counter republicans are calling for. There is no purpose for any of these changes except for political power to control the government and thus the country. That being said none of it has any merit to proceed.
The republicans should counter by pushing to relocate government agencies and functions across the whole US and eliminate D.C. as a the be all for fed government.

Here’s what I would do:
1. Give DC to Maryland so they can have representation in Congress
2. Have Puerto Rico/US Virgin Islands vote on statehood vs independence as the only two options. Majority vote wins. If they vote for statehood, they get combined as a state.
3. Do the same thing for Guam/Northern Mariana Islands (which would be combined into a single state)
4. Evaluate partition plans by several states to split some states (California, Eastern Washington/Oregon, Baja Arizona, Upper Peninsula Michigan, Long Island, Chicago, Texas, etc)
5. Consider granting independence or statehood for American Samoa

It would take a constitutional amendment. They don't just get to say it so. 2/3 majority of the states to ratify it. It ain't happening.

The constitution would prevent that

What is stopping rural Virginia from joining West Virginia today?
Posted on 1/29/21 at 2:04 pm to CU_Tigers4life
It's only fair. I say we try to get a couple of western Canadian provinces to join the USA, just not British Columbia.

Don't forget that they also want to add as many as 7 judges to SCOTUS and cement a majority there.
As to both, I hope they succeed. The US Government has been a mockery for decades and this will just accelerate the downfall.
