Robby is a true pos. First thing he does after getting out of juve is to go stalk his ex gf and threaten/go after the guy he put into a coma and temporarily paralyzed. Juve taught him nothing. That California criminal justice system failed us all.

This shite was gold. I could do a whole season of this. Hell, a whole series of Johnny and Daniel as duo Karate PI’s or detectives. Their dynamic is just too natural and fun, especially with Mrs. Larusso chiming in to highlight just how dumb it all is.

She's a smoke show for sure. I believe she's a blonde IRL, and a total knockout as such. Saw her on Separated Together w/ Josh Gad's Karate Kid/Cobra Kai reunion show and other than Amanda, she's the hottest one on the cast.

Binged all 10 eps yesterday. Started out slow with drunk Johnny and Miguel in a coma, but it really picked up and finished strong by the end.

Some observations:

Robby really is a piece of shite. How are you going to try and fight the kid you put in a coma and paralysed like a month before? He's lucky Miguel didn't die. Absolutely no remorse. I was hoping Johnny would have accidentally killed him when he threw him into the wall.

Read somewhere that Tory's mom may be Kreese's daughter, making Tory his granddaughter. They said Betsy's last name was Nichols, same as Tory. Not sure I believe that though Is interesting they keep mentioning her mom and even show her little brother and home life, but never actually show the mom.

Can't figure out why none of these kids are getting arrested for assault. If I came home with a broken arm, my parents would damn sure want to know what happened. They'd have called the cops on Hawk and sued his parents for sure. Then you've got the Xmas party fight where they throw that little kid through a glass window and basically break into Daniel's home to assault his daughter and friends. 911 again would have been called, at least on Tory and the Asian bully kid.

I'm really glad Johnny didn't try and really get with Alli and vice versa. I like Miguel's mom and I think that's showing his growth as a man.

One last thing: what's up with Miguel wearing tights under shorts? Is that some new teenage style?

Yeah that’s something they really failed on. As crazy as that moment must have been when Miguel went over the railing, it really didn’t make him feel any regret at all.

That was an opportunity for his character to earn some sympathy, like it was all of this rivalry that pushed him to do something awful that he wishes he could take back. But you never get that at all.

He could have dropped the anger over Sam and still gone to Kreese and CK just because he didn’t have anywhere else to go, and we would have felt bad for him. But now it’s just nah frick him he’s a scumbag.

Yeah I kind of suspected that. The maintenance guy even says what is she your granddaughter or something when Kreese threatens him.

Dimitri’s arm could be explained by just getting injured at practice. I bet he covered for Hawk to his parents because deep down they’re still friends and he didn’t want to see him expelled or in juvi.


And we don’t really know the aftermath of the house fight yet. Daniel would be the one to have to call the police, and he is just as involved in all of this as well, so I could see him not reporting it.


I actually felt all along they should have had the school fight from S2 at Miyagi-do. Just have CK show up to confront them like they did this season. Bringing the authorities into the series was a bad move because all of the real world ramifications would have been much more severe.

Almost all the kids would have been expelled, Robby would have been gone away for a lot longer than a few months, and Tory would have been gone even longer. Even though Miguel was hurt worse than Sam, Robby really didn’t intend for him to fall but Tory was straight up trying to murder Sam with a deadly weapon.

And Miguel’s whole coma/surgery/rehab would have taken much longer to play out.

I said this before that while it was a great and emotional finale, it really made this season feel less grounded than the first two because that fight was so unrealistic.

I think they tied that to Miguel and Samantha hanging out again; thought for sure Miguel would see it and be like WTF you are leading my mom on etc.
