I love how people on here think... we have a compliance problem so lets fire the compliance staff. That would go over well.

Orgeron at the moment:

6 turnovers

Almost a 3rd straight game of giving up 600 total yards

There are countless reasons it could take a bit. Maybe buyout is cheaper on 1/1? Maybe they have a quick secession plan they’re trying to put in place? Maybe the buyout is being negotiated down?

I hope to provide an update by tomorrow. Lsu is in a money crunch this year. The Pelini is negotiating a buy out. No announcement will be made until the process is finished.

The Title IX investigation still looms, which could effect us getting a name DC. Right now it is really just wait and see. I expect some coaching movement in the next couple of days.

Also, the retiring coaches will stick around until recruiting finishes.

I'm guessing since it's plural we are talking about SE and Bill Johnson.

Not trying to flame, but does anyone have examples of an Athletics director getting a system-wide president's job? And at the same institution? Thanks

I thought boosters/TAF handles buyouts and coaches salaries? Didn't think LSU's money crunch had any bearing on coaching changes

I guess if the rumors are true Woodward wanted Bo. So looks like we stuck with him. That might explain the contract

Typically, but the loss in revenue this year is great. Regardless, at the end of the day Pelini is still an LSU employee. Lsu has laid off personnel and reduced salaries.

They were hoping Bo would make this easy but he wants his guaranteed contract. Scott really f"ed this one up. This contract is not O's fault at all.
