re: Hunting over corn or other bait; where’s the satisfaction?

I'm just saying that people hunt for different reasons, just like people fish for different reasons. Those reasons will determine how you go about it and how much of a challenge you want it to be.
Like I said, I personally don't hunt deer for the challenge, so the "satisfaction" he's talking about isn't an issue. If he wants to jump on them out of a tree with a flint knife, more power to him.

Do you bait your hook when fishing? Why is it ethical to bait fish to strike a hook but unethical to bait deer? Is it because you are anthropomorphising the furry, brown eyed deer just like the PETA types?

One is based on 100% human manipulation and the other involve knowledge of what the animal naturally does.
I don’t begrudge someone legally hunting over bait I simply get much more satisfaction from scouting and the chess game.
I think there is a huge difference in what is involved between shooting an animal over a corn pile versus finding and sneaking into a bedding area undetected and killing one.

To me, with the knowledge we have now, the difficulty in deer hunting now is based almost solely on the land you are lucky enough to hunt. Hardest part of deer hunting is having the deer to hunt

honestly dont see the difference between
Going out and finding where the deer are feeding or making scrapes setting up to play the wind and kill a mature buck is my goal. That Is way different than setting UP a box blind on a pipe line and putting 3 deer feeders out. Feeding protein or corn year round.
I dont care how people hunt I just don’t find satisfaction in hunting a deer feeder with a rifle.

I honestly dont see the difference between:
hunting where you know they bed
hunting around acorns
throwing corn and hunting it
natural movement vs manipulating them to come to you
people can hunt however they want, but I find the "box stand over looking a feeder in a lane" style of hunting to be excruciatingly boring, although I generally find gun hunting in general to be boring
now I definitely understand its appeal when young kids are involved

And truthfully, its far easier to kill a buck next to a bedding area than corn pile for anywhere besides maybe Texas

you will have more success with mature bucks by hunting bedding areas vs feeders, yes

Hell, dont you use a fricking liveScope while you fish tops?
Imagine having something so awesome that showed you where the deer were through the trees

Do y'all think the earliest hunters sat around and argued about which spears are the best like we do about rifles? I'd like to think yes.

This is 100% correct.

But how do you feel about hunting with dogs?

BTW, nothing in your post is responsive to mine.

I'm just reading but using that I'm go out on a limb and say the guys who put down feeders have fewer friends than the guys who hunt them.
So my property has no bedding area. How should I hunt if I don't bait or plant food plots? Just pray one crosses?

How so? It's as direct a comparison as you can get. You are playing on both the fish's and the deer's feeding impulse to make the catch/kill.

It’s different because he said so that’s why.
Are you saying that as a fisherman he should not bait a hook but should only fish the travel corridors of the species and then only kill them with methods that the First Nations used?!? Come on man get off your high horse!!
Can you sense my sarcasm?

A better comparison would be chumming an area, attracting a bunch of fish and then cast netting them. Or better yet, hitting a button that automatically slings up a cage around them.
When you are fishing, you are presenting the bait, this takes skill. Little different than dumping corn and waiting. For this reason, as you might be jumping ahead to, I don’t enjoy soaking shrimp on the bottom.
